The best Spurs team of the PL era - left back

Who is the best left back to play for Spurs in the Premier League?

From Lee Pyong Pyo to Rose to BAE, this is a tough choice. I like Rose because he plays how I feel I would play on the pitch. Lee because for him to have come from a Champions League side, PSV and then be part of some lovely years under Jol. BAE was a nutter. He didnt send anyone's feelings. I think I would vote for all 3.

Disco Benny for me, was awful to start with but had a couple of seasons where he was brilliant pretty much every week, and nobody ever got wise to that drag back.

Rose for me
Then BAE
Ziege was a good player but averaged less than 20 games a season and was better going forward than in defence

Is there anyone that we need to add to the following short list?

Ziege
Lee Young-pyo
BAE
Rose

I'm very surprised by the Wipee love. I thought he was distinctly average at best.

I think that he was a distinct improvement on those that preceded him and had a tough job covering the whole of the left flank when most of the time with us he played behind a player who tucked in.

Agreed, I thought he was a better player than many were prepared to give him credit for, which was probably partly down to a touch of xenophobia and partly to a right bollix he made against Man U (I think it was) quite early on in his career here. Could do a job on either side and was better than we had been used to. My vote will go to Benny, though.

I agree that Lee was underestimated, probably because of his exposed role in the wobby.

However, for a right-footed player, he was surprisingly bad on the right.

It's between BAE and Rose for me. The final choice is made easier by my preference not to pick current players so I can judge them on their whole careers with us.

There was a bit of an obsession with him being right footed at the time too

BAE or Rose for me...

Rose will work better in this system but BAE was a breath of fresh air at the time. I'm gonna have to opt for BAE for now, opinion was divided on him but I think he was class. A few screamers too!

That video depresses me to see some of those players .. they will make you cry for various reasons

Went with Benny - another season like the last couple for Rose however and my vote may be different next time out
