Who should we sign from Ajax next

Danishfurniturelover

the prettiest spice girl
I have a soft spot for Ajax, but I am also impressed with the players we sign from they have always done well.

I put forward to you for your consideration.

Veltman- commanding centre half good on the ball.

Ficher- A more aggressive Eriksen, same sort of position but better on the left.

Klassen - Goal scoring midfielder I think he has the touch of a Bergkamp about him, couple of quieter seasons then when he broke through but still has masses of potential.

Any other anyone else would want?

- Veltman is good for one major fook-up every match, in Dutch we even have a name for it: "een Veltmannetje". Also, he's a good ball-player, but not that great of a defender. Wouldn't be a success in the PL imo, to short and not physically strong enough to be a CB here.

- Fisher, I used to rate him, but he has been injured for a long time, still not back to his old level. Might turn good in the future, but I would wait.

- Klaassen, good player, their current captain.

As for some other players:

- Tete, really good right-back, solid defensively.

- Milik, hasn't been the ideal striker for Ajax yet, but since we are so desperate for a striker it's worth mentioning him.

- Bazoer, is a defensive midfielder who could also pass the ball well.

JGL you were super keen to sign Jordi Claisie or whatever his name is. How has his season been, I guess he was injured as I haven't heard him do much?

I was yes and he has so far been indifferent when he has played, could be that he is setting in and taking his time or not as good as we thought. I still think if Nick Powell left man u and got a decent manager like a Poch then he could become the player he should become.

He's looked very poor so far. Not really equipped for this leagues. I think he's been subbed in every game he's started

Arkadiusz Milik looks quite Kane like

Ajax fans on their forum reaaaallly don't like him. Apparently he could have his right foot replaced with a peg leg and suffer no deterioration in his performances whatsoever: he apparently even goes to the extent of dribbling from one side of the field to the other, right across the penalty area, just to get the ball onto his favoured left.

Klaassen's apparently in bad form (misplacing passes and generally lacking in creativity), but he's apparently a very hard worker, a great captain and a tireless runner (never gets tired or injured, apparently). Also a utility player who can be used in defensive midfield, on the wings or up front without too many issues (although he isn't great up front, by all accounts).

Honestly, apart from Anwar El Ghazi (who's not exactly an unknown when it comes to his enormous talent), the only one from Ajax who'd be useful for us at this time is Bazoer, and we'd have to pay fifty million euros to get him (apparently Napoli made a bid for him this week that reached that amount when add-ons were included: Ajax accepted it, but Bazoer himself turned them down). I'd advocate looking at Feyenoord or PSV if we're shopping in the Dutch league: Sven Van Beek (centre-back) and Tonny Vilhena (midfielder of some sort) seem to be turning heads at Feyenoord, and PSV have Davy Propper and Jurgen Locadia to consider (also Hector Moreno, who we were apparently interested in prior to him fracturing his tibia towards the end of the 2014 summer window).

Agree on Nick Powell. Shown lots of glimpses of the talent but massively mismanaged

Now that would be a proper signing.

I'll go get my coat...

Daley Sinkgraven and Vaclav Cerny are both excellent young attacking prospects.

Mitchell Dijks is a versatile young defender.

It would be a bit of a left field signing(i am not talking of his position) but I would still like us to sign him. He has so much talent, reads the game well, he reminds me of Alli, not for the position he plays on the pitch but that in he is so talented. But he went to Man u when it was Fergies last year and he was so desperate to go out with a league title.

Since then he has been stuck with a manager who was so desperate to prove he was not out of his depth(Moyes) he would not blood youngsters and now LVG who is a frankly a macaron.

Powell needs to leave go to someone like Southampton or I hope us, with a manager that trusted young players and gave them a chance he would be a star. It really shows to young players that they should choose the club they go to carefully.

I like the dutch league and watch a bit of it, Ajax have had some really good players come through and I think it is worth keeping an eye on the dutch french and german leagues more so then the southern european ones. (that was not intended as a racist remark)

You lot are just making names up now, surely? How do you know all this guff?

I think we should sign Djorgen Morfbil from Dinamo Zlaplansk, he's got a great left elbow and eyes like Marty Feldman.
Great player. Looks more like Ozil though o_O

Napoli once bid €50m euros for Bazoer?

Millik would be someone I would go after, said it in the transfer thread. Like the look of him and his record and wouldn't break the bank.

Like the Renato Sanches deal, it seemed to be roughly split half-and-half between the fee and add-ons, with the total amount at 50 million euros, yeah. I think we'll see a lot more of this with youngsters going forward - conversely, I think sell-on clauses will become rarer.

Shocked at the amount, Ajax are not awash with cash and are a willing selling club.

I thought £15m would get him when you think what Jan, eriksen, wijnaldrum all went for recently.

Even depay didn't cost close to €50m and whilst I rate Bazoer it's not like he is setting the world on fire, in fact I remember being furious with his performance against Utrecht a few weeks back.
