***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Everton***

He must have confused Eriksen and Carroll and thought he's getting a lot of the ball. Carroll is a light weight, but does not possess the evasive skills of a Modric or Eriksen (when in form.) I would prefer him to be out of the side, despite what Carragher says. He's a numpty anyway.

Harsh.
The boy did well again today Eriksen was as helpful as rice paper in a wind tunnel.

Perhaps, although given the amount of space the ball covered after the error by Eriksen, we really should have been better organized at the back stick.

Agree BUT that was absolutely criminal by Eriksen and not the first time he simply drifted having been dispossessed. Is he just knackered I wonder? Have to also say Lennon won't strike a ball better than that for another 12 months...

I think he is. Certainly he hasn't been himself this season (he was better in his first season, and that was a slow-mo horror show compared to the way this one's going): and although I can appreciate that he brings a lot of hard-running and intelligent positioning to the team that is often overlooked, he does currently seem slower to react to defensive lapses, slower on the ball and more hesitant with his final delivery, all of which point to fatigue being a factor and all of which should put his position in the starting eleven under serious scrutiny. Maybe he just needs the rest, or maybe he's just in a bad patch of form, like Kane was at the start of the season - in both cases, we've seen that the players involved still made the hard runs and pressed for opportunities, but were more hesitant and wayward when on the ball and made the wrong decisions when off it. Either way, dropping him is starting to look like a necessity.

LCLC is a funny funny man! Davies was excellent today, like he has been every time he's played (bar one dodgy european game). Rose has had a terrible season after being excellent last year. Davies is our number one left back by some distance. Just glad finally posh sees it.

As usual people taking things to the extreme just sound silly - Davies has been fine, not excellent and not rubbish. Rose has been good, not terrible and not amazing.

We have two good left backs basically and whichever plays we can be confident they'll do well.

Grimsby Yid -- your agendas against certain players are just weird, I wish you'd stop with this nonsense.

As for the game, it was a disappointing 2nd half after a very good first half. Everton pushed up a bit more and after their double sub, we didn't seem to get a good grip on the game.

I actually thought Carroll and Eriksen were ok -- our worst players were Kane, Lamela and Son when he came on. Aside Harry hitting the post with a great shot, he had a bad day at the office. The other two were hopeless today imo.

Overall, a point is a decent result, just unlucky in the first half.

And what a goal by Alli!

I tend to agree. His eyes look into the distant yonder at times, like he is dazed or something. Is someone sleeping with his missus as he doesn't appear concentrating on the games of late - in fact almost all season. Something is wrong somewhere with him.

And that free kick that Lamela took was ready made for him to curl right footed into the right side of an empty goal. Very strange!

Eriksen is definitely too weak in the challenge most of the time. Typically just dangles a leg pathetically at the ball. Lamela has become much better at shielding it, although whenever he shows too much of the ball to an opponent, I'm never confident he's going to come away with it either.

Eriksen was very poor, clearly out worst player today. At fault for the goal and he needs to be dropped. he probably is knackered, but he need to show more guts on the ball and in the tackle. Lamela and Kane were not at the races either, but both got stuck in at least.

I thought Walker was more at fault for the goal then Eriksen. When he had it, I said out loud "Just clip it down the line" because you could see Eriksen would be in trouble, and he played him right into it. After that, Vert and Davies didn't cover themselves in glory either. Very harsh to blame Eriksen for the goal imo.

My ghod what a load of whinging cry-babies you lot are! Complain, complain, complain! "X was rubbish." "Y offers nothing", "Z is better than Y and should have started" and so on. And you complain about the crowd at WHL.... Take a look in the mirror! It was a brilliant game of football, and everyone gave it their all! None were perfect, and none where rubbish. We played a very good game vs a good team, away from home, and we got a draw. Could have won, but it's not a bad result. Chill out guys and give the team some credit! They deserve it! Support, don't slate a very good effort.

When he is dispossessed, he just stands there, there is no second effort at all...tinkle weak.

Yes I wonder if something is wrong in his personal life, as he just seems slightly adrift somehow.

Couldn't it be something as simple as Alli taking his place at 10 and eriksen just having a dip in form

Also couldn't it be that Alli is benefitting from eriksen possibly being marked more maybe...

I'm scratching my head once again after reading the OMT - a clear class above in the first half and a more even second half. Should have won based on the overall game but a point away to Everton isn't the end of the world

As mentioned, very similar to the match there last season. We dominated the first half then but went in 1-0 at HT, they came out 2nd half and gave as good as they got. Could have easily lost too, thought when Lukaku burst throught near the end he was going to bully Verts off the ball and smash in the winner

Overall, I agree with you but the whole point of a fans forum is to make comments. If we all said everything was rosy then it would be very dull indeed. Some players play well, some don't. Ridiculous to try and close down individuals opinions.

It would be ridiculous to shut down opinions I agree

This is what f#cks me off most about Sky. Why are we having ex-players commentating in matches which involve their former team. Or at least if you do, have one from each team.
It seems everytime we play Arsenal, Alan Smith is on the mic
Does it really matter? It's not like they're on the pitch affecting the outcome of the game. All they do is talk, so let them talk stupid stuff and at the end of the season eat their words. More fun that way. ;)
