***** Tottenham v AFC Bournemouth *****

Bentaleb was one of our players of the year last season. His passing is good and he played further forward in the youth set up. I think that he has shown enough to suggest that he will be at least good enough to be first choice cover for Mason alongside Dier and could potentially become first choice.

Fair enough. I haven't seen enough of him to make a proper judgement. I wasn't one of those going overboard on his performances last season. He did well but is still a long way from the finished product IMO. His propensity to give balls and free kicks way in dangerous positions as well as losing his man when tracking back are worrying signs which I hope he can get rid of. For me, he isn't as attack minded as Mason, who looks to play the incisive forward pass into dangerous areas as well as run beyond our strikers to get into the box and score. I am not negative about Bentaleb, but IMO he is behind Dier as a DM and behind Mason as an attacking CM at this moment in time , that is all.

LLoris, Walker, Toby, Jan, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane

Not a bad 11, but our benchful is pretty pitiful - Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Winks, Mason, Townsend, Njie

If we got our central midfielder and Attacker in the summer we would be so so much healthier.... depressing!

Or if we did not have a load of first teamers injured. Add Son, Bentaleb, Chadli, Pritchard and Carroll to the squad and we start having a lot more options.

He was playing further forward in the development squad. I would be interested in seeing him as the more attacking player at the base of midfield but I agree that he has fallen down the pecking order.

The game we kill off the oppo when we are leading; GHod, I hope ! But we gotta grab the goals, we are still sputtering a the mo'...

Anyhoo , whatever happens, it's a lovely trip to the sarf coast.

I feel this is a pivotal game for Dembele. He has had a bit of a run in the side and is injury free for once. He now really needs to deliver. If he doesn't, he will fall down the pecking order when Mason and Bentaleb are back. He must show his skill set is relevant against the lesser sides starting right now. I really hope he delivers today.

It will be interesting to see which way around Alli and Dembele play. My preference would be Alli alongside Dier and Dembele on the right of the three behind Kane.

Here is our line-up against Bournemouth: Lloris (c), Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Alli, Dier; Dembele, Eriksen, Lamela; Kane.

Here are our substitutes at Bournemouth today: Vorm, Trippier, Wimmer, Onomah, Mason, Townsend, Clinton.

Mauricio Pochettino makes one change to the starting line-up last time out in the Premier League against Liverpool with Eric Dier back from suspension and in for injured Nacer Chadli.

That's what I would like too. I want to see if Mousa can deliver further forward. Looking to see key passes, assist opportunities and even a goal from him. Back to when he beasted Daws in that game at Fulham. I hope he can still do it.

Will need Walker and Rose to have good games offensively as there's not much pace or width in the rest of the team.

Well Stop! Hammer time but Lamela has done more this season then Dembele and Townsend put together ( imo).
As you say its a game of opinions, I would never have Lamela ahead of Dembele in any position. Townsend has just got so dull and non threatening I dont know what you would do with him, especially as he wont leave!

Think our problem is if Kane doesn't score, where do the goals come from.
Here's hoping for several free kicks in shooting range of their goal.
