Watched Birdman - a bit meh but I liked how it was shot etc. Question though - it was a movie about Keaton and his career after Batman - thats the jist I got - it was very clever.

St Vincent - Bill Murray was excellent and was a good movie.

Still Bill on Netflix. Documentary about Bill Withers. Recommend if you are a fan of his, and even if you aren't

Focus - Average film. Worth seeing if you like Margot Robbie, which I do. Will Smith needs a hit.

It Follows - Bit silly at times, but I thought it was quite a clever film. For those of you who don't know what it's about, a girl has a one night stand and realises there's a paranormal entity that follows her at certain times. The only way to get rid of it is sleeping with someone and "passing it on" to them. If that person dies, it reverts back to the person that originally gave it to them.

had a bit of a splurge on some ghibli blu-ray/dvd double packs (in the 2 for £25 deal @ hmv). sat with the kids through my neighbour totoro and howl's moving castle. both still awesome.

I see it looks likely that there will be a new Alien film and that it will erase the 3rd onwards, not happy with how it was tied up I suppose so they are now working on a sequel to Aliens

My daughter loves these films, quite proud of her to be honest, she found them herself and has got a bit of a collection of them.

Some crazy ideas in most of them!!

My daughter drew Totoro last year in year 1 for her favourite film homework
I was also very proud, because wasn't prompted by me, and most of her friends did Frozen. Haha.

We watched Kiki's delivery service last night, which they also enjoyed immensely. think there are probably a couple to avoid for now (boy is 4, girl is 6), but not 100% sure which ones yet.

On Marky's tip off a few pages back, enjoyed The Gambler last night. Expectations were low - only 6 on IMDB - but really enjoyed it. A good story line, maybe too many monologues but they worked ok for me, and John Goodman's cameo was awesome. Recommended.

Had the pleasure of watching Interstellar last night!! Fantastic! Loved it, true sci-fi. Looked great in HD on the projector!

The IMDB is list flawes to a certain extent. Interstellar for example is ranked 46th despite it being the worst film of Christopher Nolan's career.

The Dark Knight is ranked 4th, I mean come on! It's a great film but it's not the 4th best film of all time. There are plenty of other examples.

Sounds like I'm having a rant against Nolan but I'm not, I love Inception and The Prestige!
