If Spurs truly do have a some sort of corporate deal with Toronto FC, this is the time to put it to work.
Defoe can't play until all his registration papers are filed and approved by FIFA. And FIFA can't give final approval until Toronto get Altidore's contract done and dusted, then signed off by MLS head office and forwarded to FIFA.
Toronto would be very nice corporate allies if they'd just take a little extra time to proof read everything and wrap it up by Saturday noon local time. That would be 5pm in London.
