true. Our record against them at WHL since 2006:

06/07: Spurs 2-1 Chelsea (W)
07/08: Spurs 4-4 Chelsea (D)
08/09: Spurs 1-0 Chelsea (W)
09/10: Spurs 2-1 Chelsea (W)
10/11: Spurs 1-1 Chelsea (D)
11/12: Spurs 1-1 Chelsea (D)
12/13: Spurs 2-4 Chelsea (L)
13/14: Spurs 1-1 Chelsea (D)

Just 1 defeat in 8, after what was an awful record previously

--------------Lloris------------------
-Walker---Fazio-Vertonghen---Davies-
---------Bentaleb--Dembele----------
--Lamela------Mason--------Eriksen--
---------------Kane------------------

Subs: Vorm, Dier, Chiriches, Stambouli, Chadli, Townsend, Soldado.

Costa to be booked.

So, Fabregas has more assists(13) than our entire midfield of Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela, Lennon, Mason, Dembele, Bentaleb, Stambouli, Capoue and Paulinho combined together(12). It is clear we have to stop Fabregas to get anything out of this match. Being an ex-Arsenal player, he doesn't need any motivation to get fired up against us.

While this is true, Fabregas also has more assists this season than Jack Willshere has in his entire career (12) :ross:

IIRC, we outplayed Chelsea in that only defeat in 2013. We were leading 2-1 before conceding 3 goals in the last 25 mins of the match. And Mourinho was the Chelsea manager when we beat Chelsea for the first time at home in 19 years in 2007. Hope we can beat them again !

We're not gonna get too many decisions in this match after Jose's recent referee rant.

What he did there didn't even annoy me. Its the ****ing broadcasting of it, the newspaper articles about it.
If a football manager comes out and tries to influence referees why are the media helping.
Why do they even show manager interviews on motd? They are usually the same old ****.

Not sure, think Ref's are catching on to Jose's game, he might get some backlash for that ..

The media has discussed it heavily, but they also spend time on the fact that it is quite blatantly Jose trying to manipulate things his way.

Think it was Owen going on about how Rooney was putting pressure on the ref to give them marginal decisions in our game against United. Then that "paid off" when they got a marginal call for the free kick Mata hit against the post. Not a critical word about what Rooney was doing, just a good thing for his team. It's nothing like cheating, nothing like diving apparently. Just trying to get an advantage by trying to get the ref to give you decisions you shouldn't have gotten.

Complete BS. And we need to get better at it.

Everybody has known all along that he talks bull****, but I think just by Jose saying it the seed is sown in the refs mind. It's that split second decision that subconsciously can be swayed that he seeking to influence. I'd love to see a controversial decision go our way in this one but I just don't see it.

and its taking the pressure off his players for a pretty abject performance with points dropped, he is the master at this

To be honest Im not convinced refs get intimidated by the managers anymore like they used to.

They have all these meetings and training programmes now, they must have a good little chat over things like Mourinho's comments and would acknowledge the obvious tactics he's trying to do and not be swayed by him....

1-1

That's what I want to see as well GB, although I would still prefer Lennon for this type of game.

This would be a GREAT result if it happened....but just imagine if we actually won?!?

I also think we'd need Lennon as well though..
