Proposed to my wife there dressed as Captain super ducky in blue leotard with a duck down my pants, was great but be warned of the large sun glass up there own arses phalanx there are a fair few of them.

not my favorite festival but a good one non the less, and its relatively clean.

the sound of people doing balloons will do your swede in by the end mind you.

Oh and when it turns off for the night thats it, no more nothing no where. not what i was used to.

i thought this was going to be about a dodgy porn actress and animals.

I went in 2009 when it rained like a fudging Monsoon....not good!!

Dressed as the Beatles.......was limited to 30,000 that year......the infrastructure of the Island struggles to be honest...but it's great.

Glamping is the way forward.....the toilets and showers for the plebs is atrotious!

Can see the island from the end of the road, pop over there every now and again with the kite.

Marky im sure you will have a great time mate, enjoy the music the food the drink and the ladies.

I went in 2009, first festival, it was decent. I'm only comparing it to the Isle of Wight festival which i went to a year later and preferred partly due to the better weather, the better line up.and the fact i got a shag at the IOW and not at Bestival.

From my experience, biggest difference was there were more drugs floating around Bestival and we saw more trouble at Bestival, but it was so easily avoidable; just a group of 'lads' pushing and shoving giving it large. I would definitely go again, not been to V, Glasto or Reading, and will consider it now having just seen the awesome line up.

Think I'm going to Bestival this year as well. Looking forward to it, and by the looks of the some of the birds that went from my Uni last year - a decent standard of totty as well. As Modrical said there's meant to be plenty of drugs floating around, whether you're into that stuff or not.

Creamfields, last year had sniffer dogs and they couldnt keep up with the amount of people being caught.
If your taking anything with you, put it as high up as possible, under a hat maybe? Because dogs cant smell scents high up.

I've always wondered what the likes of Creamfields + Global gathering do, a large % of the people that go are gonna try something aren't they. That's true - or stuff it in a jar of marmite! A sticky job after (double-wrap), but gets the job done!

my mate got caught at Global one year by sniffer dogs with stuff up is arse - so id think of a better way

We had some people come to the boundary and deliver a stash of charle and pills.

Also loads come in in the glam ping but as yo can drive straight in.

The weather was so brick when we went you needed to get off your tits!!!

They can't smell it up your arse believe me, what they smell is the residue left on cloths and on your HANDS as i said wash your hands.

Went to Bestival in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011, but I'll give it a miss this year. Partly because I want to try something new, but also because the prices of everything there has sky rocketed recently. Tickets in 2007 were ?ú115, now they're ?ú170 for just the early bird tickets, will probably be ?ú180/190 this year. I've been going to all sorts of festivals regularly since 1998 but I was amazed at how much money all the food stalls, bars etc were charging. Because the festival is in the middle of the Isle of Wight it's a also a pain getting there and back. Just don't think I can be bothered with it this time around.

Having said that, when it's been good it's been probably my favourite festival. There's something for everybody there, whether you fancy sitting on the grass in the afternoon sunshine chilling out to a classic reggae band, jumping along to your favourite rock band, or gurning your face off at 6am raving to some dnb/dubstep, you won't be disappointed with the music on offer. I also like the fancy dress thing, you get some awesome costumes especially if it doesn't rain.

Yep i did Stilt walking there and the vibe of doing that was great (fudgers would still not give me a free drink!!! where the hell is Poseidon meant to carry cash???)

I went there a few years ago and it was a washout. Even still it was a good crack and it would be a cracking festival in the sun. Sunday Best is cracking fun. We went to town on the fancy dress and it was a lot of fun.

They had sniffer dogs there when I went. Me and the misses got there early and set up a couple of mates tents. I got pinched by the dog when I went out to meet them, despite not having a jot on me... My mate had some grass on him so it probably got confused. Good job really.

Had a plain clothes officer on me in seconds. Grabbed me by the thumbs and sped me off to the "finger" tent at speed. Friendly enough but they take a dim view on drugs at Bestoval as its trying to be family friendly, so fair enough.
