Between now and the end of this season will Spurs stop the asteroid smashing into WHL preventing their top four hopes being destroyed or will Baldini change half the crew before take-off with Sherwood confusing them with space age instructions of 'don't wanna see any NASA nonsense now boys, when on that asteroid keep it simple' whilst sat in Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou's Easy Rocket which Levy waited until the last minute to buy and ends up exploding during take-off at an abandoned Baikonur Cosmodrome space centre in Kazakhstan?

Either way we all know this month could decide our season. It could be what D-Day was for the Allies or what Poll Tax was for Thatcher.

I like the cut of your jib, young man.

If we can get 9-10 points from those league games I think we can call ourselves lucky. Chelsea are chugging along and if yesterdays game against Fulham is anything to go by, slightly complacent.

In fact, right now Liverpool and Southampton worry me more. Southampton absolutely bossed the game yesterday for the best part of the first hour and really deserved to be ahead at half time, yet somehow Liverpool held it together and really could've got 4-5 by 90 minutes. One thing's for sure though, neither of those two has a water tight defence and I'd hope that we could at least bag a couple against both those sides, thought keeping Suarez and Sturridge quiet for 90 minutes isn't going to be easy.

20 March Benfica (A) 0-2
23rd March Southampton (H) 2-1
30th March Liverpool (A) 2-2

Liverpool and Arsenal are six-pointers. Must win at least one to stand a chance of top 4.

Predictions

Spurs 0-1 Benfica
Spurs 0-1 Arsenal
Benfica 2-1 Spurs
Spurs 1-1 Southampton
Liverpool 4-1 Spurs

What an incredible set of of fixtures. Any chance of Capoue, Lamela, Chiriches or Kaboul (lol) making a return any time soon? Would be great to have options

A 50% points return (7-8) from the league fixtures might actually still see us well in it come the end of March as I'm fairly certain that Liverpool and Arsenal both have a pretty tough run of fixtures themselves this month (though can't be bothered to check right now). We have our first 3 from Cardiff today, which leaves 4-5 points to get from the others. I think we'll beat Southampton (just), and have a shot of getting something from the Arsenal game (though they could just as easily turn us over). Can't see us coming away with much from Stamford Bridge (as ever) and Anfield, but stranger things have happened. To Dare is to Do and all that....

Arsenal's March fixtures make ours look like a cake walk and unlike us they lost their easiest March fixture this weekend:

Arsenal March fixtures

V Stoke (A) L 1-0
V Bayern Munich (A)
V Tottenham (A)
V Chelsea (A)
V Emirates Marketing Project (H)

Liverpool March fixtures

V Southampton (A) W 3-0
V Man Utd (A)
V Cardiff (A)
V Sunderland (H)
V Tottenham (H)

What strikes me is the volume of fixtures we have to play compared to the other two

I don't think this is a million miles away.
Yee, got the first result right. Based on how we played today though it would be more realistic if we were to lose to Arsenal and draw with Southampton. Need to improve immensely and I just can't see it.

Indeed. Add Kaboul and Lamela to that list too.

ARSEnal have the same number of games as us this month, they have a postponed fixture against Swansea to squeeze in at some point.

Damn those dirty reds. I wonder how they would be coping right now if they had had a midweek competition to play in like the rest of the top 5
