***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool

He literally just stands there and scratches his head..never proactive.

At 0-1 and them missing a few chances you make a tactical change..you do something ffs. He just stands there and lets it go on..and on...and on...until they get a second.

I've read, with a bit of concern to be honest, your seemingly gleeful condemnations of AVB for some time. Today, only Ray Charles could possibly disagree that he got it hopelessly wrong, and that he has been doing so more than a few times this season. But the one thing you CANNOT say about the bloke is that he doesn't try. He DID try something today, albeit 30 minutes after I suggested he try it (still failed!). But he absolutely tries, he just appears to be getting it very wrong sometimes. Again, if he gets the tin-tack then so be it…but it WON'T be for lack of trying.

A couple of Chelski fans I know laughed when we appointed AVB and said he doesn`t know what he is doing and I argued that Chelsea didn`t give him enough time etc.
I want to know what has happened to the pacy atacking side that most neutrals would like to watch. How have we been turned into the pedestrian and predictable team we are now?

I can accept teams like the manchester clubs and Chelski and L`**** having better squads than us because of the money they spend and the wages they pay. But have Liverpool Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Everton got better squads than us? and they may be just below us but you can put Southampton in there as well, they are certainly playing more attractive football than us. So it has to be the manager right?

Who is now wondering what might have been had we gone for Rodgers or Martinez. Everton are probably in a false position due to the loan players they have but they are playing good football and are hard to beat. The worst thing is if we get rid of AVB who do we get in? Then its surely another year of "transition" A new guy would surely get rid of at least half the squad we have now and bring in players he favours and knows who will "do a job" for them, much like Rodgers bringing Joe Allen with him. Almost all managers do it.

As usual I believe we have overpayed for a lot of the players AVB(or was it Baldini) has signed. I didn`t think Levy would do that again after the disasters that were Bent and Bentley. Lamela may well develop into a top player but £30mil ? 26 for Soldado its madness.

The next question is what manager could we get at the moment?

Answers on a postcard please.

After the Man U game one poster on here told me to "Do one" after I disagreed with his opinion that a draw with United was a good performance. It goes to show what dross we have become used to since AVB took over. Being a Spurs fan of many years I can take defeat on the chin but today was as woeful as I can remember. 0 shots on target? I thought losing 5-3 after being 3-0 up was bad but at least we scored 3 then.

I have never liked the system AVB likes to play and you can check my previous posts that I am not jumping on the AVB out bandwagon, he has had over a year and we have looked a shambles at times, only bailed out by moments of individual brilliance and I am not only talking G. Bale here. Our build up play is so slow at times its painful. Chuck all the stats away the only one that counts after 90 mins is goals for and against. Doesn`t matter if we had 75% possesion if we dont look like scoring.

For example people on here have been getting excited by Townsend for gods sake. Thats how bad we have looked this season, I seriously doubt he would get anywhere near the first team of any of the teams around us. Don`t even get me started on Chadli and Paulinho. That some are saying Chadli was our mom, it shows how bad the rest were today.

How many more drubbings are we going to get?

Still when we beat Wet Spam on Wednesday all will be well again

Right now,thats not a given

Dawson suspended, Kaboul injured (just for a change!!!), Vlad,Vertonghen injured, Rose and Naughton doubtful?
Paulinho suspended, Sandro injured.

Bare bones at the back, hands up if you want a game

I dont think Ive ever felt so embarassed after a game as I did tonight, im glad my phone battery died so at least I had an hour with no ****...

I honestly dont know what to think about it

I said earlier that the people i feel sorry for are the season ticket holders. Nearly 2 grand to watch some of the ****e we've been serving up at home? it's like you're paying to be tortured.

If we dont win on Wednesday I will have to seriously consider going into hiding for a couple of months. I work in a typical London workplace and there are fans fom most London clubs and some Scousers and man U fans. Not looking forward to the grief I am going to get tomorrrow. I even had a bet with an Arsenal fan before the season started that we would finish above Liverpool. Not looking forward to seeing his smug face tomorrow.

But losing at home to WHU twice in one season will kill me. Just hope Fat Sam rests his players for the League

It wont be easy thats for sure

The only defense for AVB is the team is gelling still. But if we are still gelling why not put Lamela on? he will gel later or what? I may accept this ONLY EXCUSE STILL AVAILABLE, but ffs, you spent 30 mil on a player, put him in even during bad spells, get a solid 1st team and play it to death. We will loose some matches but players will gel and in time results will come. But we keep players like lamela out, eriksen when fit doesn't play that much either, we have paulinho who today plays DM and tomorrow AMC, we have townsend on the left today, tomorrow on the right, if you are a sticker to a strategy( like AVB is with this 4-2-3-1) then keep the players in their top position don't move them around like firework on new year's eve.

:ross:

You failed in your option. What is it you want to say? Go on, PM me if you want. Let's have it! Get it off your chest sunshine...

Ive had my ticket 16 seasons and Im honestly not enjoying going this season one bit...

It's a sad sad day for Spurs supporters, but what's just as sad are the growing ranks of 'I told you sos' who seem to absolutely REVEL in being right about AVB being wrong.
I don't give a ****. I'll proudly say I thought it was a GREAT appt at the time, I believed in him, I still hope he gets the rest of the season because that's just how I am, but freely admit that he has shot himself in the foot one time too many now. Levy's espresso machine is on full roar as we speak. I take no pleasure at all from any of this, and neither should anyone else in my opinion. And if it IS all about 'being right' and 'I told you so' then **** THAT!

I wasn't pleased when we appointed him but he went SOME way to easing my doubts last season. But this season the football has been so dire and it's been getting worse, just can't accept results like 3-0 at home to West Ham, 6-0 at Emirates Marketing Project (worst defeat in 16 years) and 5-0 at home to Liverpool without a single shot on target. I've been willing to give him until the end of the season, but tonight has changed things, everyone has their breaking point and I've reached mine. But I worry about who will replace him.
