I can't remember what this bloke looks like and have no idea whether he would have done any good or not at Spurs but this news saddens me.

Since he's still in Brazil the 3rd party owners may not have been bought out.

What's the point in being a 3rd party owner without a big payday? Do they get a % of wages/signing on fee? Or are the 3rd party owners also agents, and the player is tied to them?

With a good World Cup he could attract interest from Europe again. He's still young.

LD couldnt have been any less effective than Soldado....not Soldado's fault, its such a shame things are not working out for him

He could still come good I suppose, but for now I'm at least happy that Levy didn't "just pay what Internacional want for him" as seemed like the suggestion from quite a few Spurs fans online a couple of seasons back.

And we're back...

Arsenal, Tottenham and Southampton on alert as Leandro Damiao comes back on the market

ARSENAL, Tottenham and Southampton have been put on alert after Leandro Damiao was offered to Porto and Atletico Madrid this summer.

Damiao has been heavily linked with Spurs for the past two summers, while Arsenal and Southampton have also shown interest in the Brazilian hitman in the past.

The 24-year-old reportedly turned down interest from Europe at that time because he wished to remain in Brazil to push his claims for a place in Luiz Felipe Scolari's World Cup squad.

But after Damiao sporting rights were purchased by the investment group Doyen in January he made a £15m move from Internacional to Santos.

Unfortunately for Damiao, however, the move has completely backfired and the strikers form has gone out the window.

Hahahahahahaha amazing

Being serious though. Ian Broomfield was the person who first advocated him. And he's just been reappointed as our chief scout. So there could be some millage in it? He'll be cheap now if nothing else.
