Ryan Nelsen

Another thread about to be ruined. Shocker!

At least you spelt his name correctly. Thought he was average yesterday, tbh. Nothing more than that

Apart from the penalty he had two very good games against Stevenage. Fantastic in the air, constantly winning headers against a team so physically strong that Kaboul was struggling. Good on the ball, generally calm and in the first game especially in the right place at the right time a lot. The penalty was poor, schoolboy error where there was no need to go to ground. But everyone makes mistakes, even King. He looks quicker than I expected too.

Glad we have him here.

Im still not sure what to make of the big lad....Im glad he's being played at least, in these games, but it will be interesting to see how he does against Bolton in the next round.

I feared the worst when Daws went off I have to say. One of the worst starts to a game, definately this season but probably in recent times. Im not sure how many penalties weve given away this season but it cant be many. King gave one away against City but on the whole our temperment in the box has been excellent.

I'm still not sure what to make of him either. But he looks very close to as good as he did for Blackburn at his best, and he was one of the best centre halves outside the top teams when he was at his best so at the very least a useful player for our squad. Dawson is probably out for the season, King and Gallas are injury prone. I'm glad he's here.
