Ozil is twice the player Hulk is

And where the **** would Hulk play? He's a right sided player in a 433 that likes to cut inside and score.
If i was picking he would be behind lamela, townsend and lennon for that role.

Are we serious buying him as a striker?
If everyone is questioning where ozil would play there's biggest questions about Hulk, at least Ozil is better than what they have.

From the BBC Live update.

European football writer Andy Brassell: "If there's anything that might convince Zenit St Petersburg to let Hulk go to Tottenham, it would be the arrival of a top-quality replacement.

"Respected journalist Artur Petrosyan says on his Twitter account that a delegation from Russia's richest club have arrived in Kiev in an attempt to broker a move for Dynamo winger Andriy Yarmolenko, who has also sparked the interest of Liverpool.

"Hulk would be keen to work with Andre Villas-Boas again, but the tricky part in any deal has always been the Brazilian's wages.

"He is reported to earn £8.5m per season gross, which works around £7.4m take home with Russia's low level of top-rate tax. Spurs would need to pay Hulk £13.5m just to match that."

Either way not gonna happen, solid gold fact.

I think these guys that take the money in Russia surely understand that the contract they are signing there isn't really realistic anywhere else, and that if they want to play in a quality league again they will drop their demands.

Maybe Zenit can pay him a lump sum and then Hulk can come on to our structure, I don't think it is thaaaaaat unrealistic, particularly if Zenit have sent a delegation to Kiev.

Hours until the window closes now, not weeks. For this to ever work it sounds like the kind of deal that would need the second time frame to be agreed, not the first.

If we're serious about signings some quality players on deadline day then I hope we're not wasting our time with Hulk as it seems very unlikely to actually happen.

If it's more of a "well, nothing to do and we have to sit here anyway" punt then fair enough. Why not give it a try, Hulk is unhappy about playing for a bunch of racist fans, Zenit might want to get him off their books, deadline day, loads of pressure on both. Levy make a silly little bid to see what happens? Then, when it fails he order pizza and watches SSN along with Baldini.

I think its sky just to drum up some interest about 'deadline day'. Its been a bit boring maybe because we dont have the 'moutinho' in our sights as most of our dealings have been completed.

I thought we brought our prospects in via Ryanair?

Plus I don't trust any Russian clubs not to suddenly decide to sell to Abramovich instead.
