I have no idea, but I imagine it depends on how much of the paperwork has been signed. If the agreement with Anzhi was signed then I imagine they can't pull out, if the only thing missing was Willian's signature then I would think that the deal with Anzhi had been signed. But like I said, I have no idea.

More worrying is what Willian himself, and of course his agent thinks when hearing of this bid.

Would indicate that the deal with Anzhi wasn't signed and thus Anzhi could potentially pull out unless we match Chelsea's bid.
 
I ****ing hate Chelsea I really do! but after seeing Townsend perfromance today I am not as bothered (trying to make myself feel better)

Never get carried away until it is announced on the official site. It's like so many deals in the past, where we have potentially been used to drive up a price for a player who probably had no intention in signing for us in the first place?

That is a very likely scenario. Even if Chelsea don't really want him a little bit of collusion to up the price we pay helps them.

I like the idea of Willian at Spurs but que sera sera.
