What would Jenas do?

Milija Aleksic
............

.......

Just in case some of you don't feel that this place is really home yet.

Was watching the youtube and came upon this:

hadn't seen it in a while. Some of those guys wouldn't make our Europa Squad.

Question: Are there any other youtube vids like this of the players from years past?

Enjoyed that, thanks for posting.

Did Jenas say AKA Dhalsim? not the kindest nickname ever - ha.

Was he actually good at Forest back in the day?

He was very good for us, he just didn't do it often enough.

I will never know quite why he got so much hatred. A good player on his day, not good enough for a top 6 team but certainly not the worst player to play for us.

'His day' was only about 2 or 3 times per season though

He really wasn't bad at all, and I too can't undertand the hate a lot demonstrated towards him.

Can't think of a more consistent goalscorer in the past few years v Arsenal than him, so for that alone I wish him all the best.....

"Gareth Bale, left side"

So he clearly knows where he is supposed to be, maybe he just doesn't know the difference? :-k

The kid had potential

He certainly did, superb athlete, just did not show any consistancy, I wonder if a foreign coach would have been able to improve him, not a fan of him, but he has always handled his self very professionally.

This guy has raped a huge wage from us, week in - week out, for seven years............SEVEN BLOODY YEARS !!!

I can count on one hand how many great games he had for us.

But his epic performance and goal in the 4-4 v Gooners was priceless.

Jenas is just one of a long line of fan spacegoats, made easier by the fact that he has never made completely good on his promise/ability.

Fans seem to need to blame the team failures (i.e. not winning 100% of our games 5-0) on individuals, see Jenas, Keane, and now Livermore and Walker.

It's tiresome ...

Could have been a great right back. He had the pace, the stamina, probably could put in a decent cross too. I hold him as one of our top 3 right backs in history, without even playing there.

I still wear my no.8 Jenas navy blue Mansion shirt with pride btw.

Indeed, and that is more or less what i told the dingdonghead who booed him when he came on the pitch the other week, among a few other choice words.

I'm not sure that he was a spacegoat, so much as drove people mad by fulfilling his promise so rarely. Against Arsenal he was fired up, driven, wonderful. But too often he lacked the drive and spark to make things happen. The amazing run from goalmouth to goalmouth he made against Liverpool, failing to put the ball in the net, is one of the cruel memories of his career with us: so much promise, so little delivery. I wish him well because he has been a model pro in many ways, I'm sure no manager has ever had a bad word to say about him, but - perhaps unfairly- you want such a wonderful athlete to also be an incisive footballer, and he wasn't.
