My mate was a youth team player at Spurs during the Hoddle era, said he was good in the way that he knew all the younger players names etc, but with the first teamers he still thought he was the best player there, always joined in at training and tried to talk down to them which didn't go down well.

I have quite a few doubts about him. For one, he isn't the sole reason for Swansea's slick style of play. Paulo Sousa, and Roberto Martinez before him, both implemented slick passing styles at Swansea with varying degrees of success. They left a foundation that Rodgers was able to utilise. A lot of Swansea's players were also there before Rodgers arrived, bought by Martinez and Sousa. Rodgers, meanwhile, didn't set the world alight at Reading (he left the club by mutual consent after a bad run) and walked out on Watford to take the Reading job. So, I do have my doubts. If he can keep Swansea up next seasn (i.e, beat the famous 'second season syndrome') while getting his team to continue to play their stylish brand of football, then I'd be more convinced. But right now? Nah.

I agree, though, Moyes isn't a very inspiring choice at all. Probably be the safe bet, though.
 
Just listened to the Harry interview outside the court on BBC.com, loved the 'Come on you Spurs' at the end!

There were more than a couple with that opinion, crooked *insert expletive* being the favourite.

I'm sure they'll find something else to sledge him about, now he's been found unanimously innocent!
 
Redknapp should now take legal action against the mods and owners of all of those message boards who called him a crook and tax dodger.
All except KUMB that is...the mods wisely said that no mention of the case would be allowed...well done.

Anyone got footage of this? If I'm not mistaken Manley was the one who pushed the case through, who Harry said was trying to intimidate him in court.
 
It's gonna be a sad sad day when Arry takes the England job. He's been a superb appointment and no matter what happens this season, that will not change.

With that being said it's either Mourinho or Hiddink for me as his replacement.
 
I'd love to be a football coach, my massive ego and my knowledge to spot the gaps in tactics would make me a star. Brendan Rogers has it as does that bloke at Norwich. But that's not the only thing you need. You need to be well liked amongst the players and also to be respected. If you are liked and respected player are more likely to follow your lead and take your advice on board. Players would also be more likely to sign for you; how many times have we heard players say they wanted to sign for Redknapp because an ex player has backed him as being a good bloke. Would we be signing VDV and Ade if we had a good yet inexperienced manager like Rogers at the helm
Footballing knowledge is nothing without experience and your reputation in this business.

I would like to mention the many that have been pro Redknapp since he came, I for one have always been happy we got him though didn't think for one second he would take us as far as he has.

Fingers in my ears don't care if he has a 'shady' past or dodgy deal, he is clearly a really nice family bloke and a great manager.

You'll be hard pressed to find an anti-Redknapp Spurs fan these days.
I was never his greatest fan from the start but I think losing him to England will hit the club hard.
More than anything the breathtaking football we've played this season has turned the anti Redknapp phalanx around.
I never for a moment though we would have been capable of what we have achieved this season under Harry.
 
Been listening to talkbrick and reading so much reports from people on Harry.

When exactly was it that he took the England job ? I missed it.
