Christian Eriksen

Strange call. Average player and fails the first screening of the ‘no dingdongheads’ policy. Go for Brennan Johnson if we want a HG trequartista (which I don’t think Conte particularly wants anyway).

12 goals, 8 assists in the league for a brick Leicester side, 15/11 overall, hard working, creative, goal scorer, home grown, can play a few positions, press resistant set piece specialist(?) - average he aint, would be a top signing

Very good player for sure.

Not sure he's ever played wide? Not sure he'd be a natural fit in one of the deep midfield roles in our 3-4-3. Not sure he'd be a good fit.

Edit: And would be fairly expensive.

11 games off the right last season (FWR AMR MR) according to WS with 9 goal involvements (4/6) . Would be expensive but if our rumoured budget is correct and after Spence & Leneglet we want a CB & an AM sort then i think his price wouldn't be prohibitive

I’m not sure he okayed wide right when I saw them
He played more like an inside forward with overlapping wing backs, Kinda Kulu style
He is a very good player but if I was raiding Leicester it would Harvey Barnes I’d go for

numbers seem good but he is streaky and I’m sure many of those stats will show in games where he has played well vs playing well most of the time.

not sure if he would come to warm the bench as he wouldn’t get into the side ahead of the player we just shelled 60m for, let alone starting in midfield ahead of the two pivots in midfield that conte usually plays.

Well the rumours are that we want a CM/CAM along with a CB signing once we get Spence & Lenglet signed - asides from Kane we don't have anyone who can play CAM, so if Conte wants a playsr for that role there isn't any specialised competition currently in the squad, he would also cover the right side of midfield/attacking midfield. He impressed me greatly last season and i say that despite always thinking he's a massive bell-end

Ah, cheers. Hadn't seen that.

If the cost was acceptable I definitely wouldn't be against signing him. I would guess he would cost more than some other, non HG options, but if we want/need a HG player, of course there's also the benefits of having PL experience.

Such a shame he’s gone to United he will improve that side massively. They are a threat for top 4. I don’t think will take ETH to long to get them playing. Hope I’m wrong tho .

Not sure they will make the top four ( at least not next season anyway), but they will improve under the new manager and Eriksen will help that cause.

I don't see them as a threat at all - they are a basket case club that aren't addressing their structural problems.

Eriksen will be their best player, but we also passed on him because he'd only be peripheral to our side.

Not so sure myself . Think they may be there and about . Still a lot of quality in the squad couple of signings more and they’ll be in the hunt .

Think 1st 2nd will be same as last season myself and then leaves us Chelski United fighting for remaining two spots.

There’s alot of optimism surrounding us but some of the stuff about challenging for the title I’ve seen is a little far fetched.

To the way we set up yes he’s not needed but he’s still different class.
