Richarlison

We were building a £1bn stadium, then we were out of the Champions League and dealing with covid revenue loss.

The only other time those three things weren’t true was the summer of 2019, and we acted decisively then too with Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon.

This season is the first we have had a full season, with full crowds, full events, at the new stadium.

This.

I hate diving. I hated when dele did it, son, kane... it's sad it's a part of the game. It is was it is.

Part of the problem is with the referees. It has long been said that referees are reluctant to give a foul or a penalty unless a player goes to ground. So naturally, players will go to ground more easily if there is contact made. What is not good, is when players play for the foul, like when Kane used to back in to players to get fouls when the opponent jumps. But heh, that's not for us to worry about, it's down to the referees to give fouls as appropriate, and for players to be brought in to line to stop over acting etc

Tbh i don't have too much of a problem with kane doing that. He's going to get clattered by a defender jumping on him from behind, elbows leading. So instead he ducks and gets the foul.

It's simulation i dislike.

Very interesting and insightful. Explains a lot about why some Brazilian players later relax in their life. They have known a fair bit of stress.

Was engaged to a brazillian, it's just a way of life. Not saying go full neymar, but music, dancing, party. Probably why a lot want to go back. Rather than stay in europe.

I agree with the overall point you're making I think.

Disagree that they're of equal quality.

I do also think we can talk about Richarlison as a backup striker, even though he is also more than that. Kane is a better striker and player, by some distance. Richarlison will probably be his backup, but also much more than just his backup.
In my eyes Kanes physical decline has started. Ankles...less sharp change of direction over the years.

20/21 phenomenal. 33 goals and 17 assists in 49 games.

21/22 bad start to the season. Only kicked on in november. 27 goals and 10 assists in 50 games.

In the toughest league in the world. How many did better?
