Tanguy Ndombele

If we can get a loan fee for each remaining year of his contract, and the other team picking up his wages, that's an acceptable outcome in order to reduce the downside

Obligation to buy would be better than option...otherwise they'll quickly realise he's a lazy clam and send him back.

and as per Red Dwarf our response to that should be…

‘we don’t want him! Go away! You took him, you can keep the smegger!’

I will say I really wish it had worked out for him with us. He has a lot of ability, unfortunately that’s only half the story. His passing range, close control and technique to hold off players really hinted at greatness but he had so much to give and only seemed to want to give less than half of it.

I will always feel somewhat sorry for him. Brought to work with a manager who played in a way which was totally different to that of the manager who replaced him months later. I think socially he found it tough going too at first, seemed a quite parochial fellow so probably shy…I wish him all the best because by christ he has wonderful ability.

If he was a 20m player on 60k a week it would change everything. Just he came in with huge expectations and sums spent. If he was a cheaper punt able to come off the bench to change games we’d all feel quite differently about him.

Maybe he will fulfil this roll - as an impact sub. And we can all celebrate how much of a big club we are now that 200k a week players sit on the bench.

I don’t feel sorry for him, there are kids busting their gut to have his opportunity and he is throwing it away, no reason why he couldn’t work hard to adapt. No excuses and his ability was no more than a show pony imo, didn’t show anywhere near the quality he apparently has, a few tricks and flicks that come off now and again doesn’t make a player great. With what i have seen of him he is average at best.

Could not agree more.

Do hope he can find somewhere that allows his undoubted ability to flourish. As we all know though, a big part of it has to come from himself - the way he was strolling about, staying down for 5 minutes whenever anyone went near him, when I watched him for Lyon against West Ham though, suggests he’s a long way from realising what he has to do.

Each to their own mate.

I’d like to think he could show a change of heart and see what we are doing, be excited and want to be part of it.

sadly I think it’s way too late and he will come back overweight and lazy.

I think the ship effectively sailed when he got booed off against fudging Morecambe. I don't think we'll see him play for us ever again.

Anyone know if he’s training with the 1st team? Seen Lo Celso in pictures/clips but can’t say I’ve seen Ndombele.
