So we haven't talked to any clubs apart from brighton? What has paratici etc... been doing all this time?

Their business, they may have had talks but If you're naive enough to read and believe the internet it's been with about 20-30 clubs, we will know when the club tells us the rest is just rumours. Of course the lunatic fringe will go mental whenever an other PL side sign someone even if it's a player they have been turning their nose up at.

We'll talk to loads of clubs. See who's available, what price. We'll have agents hired by clubs to find a buyer for players they don't want. How serious we are about these players is a different question.

Di marzio was saying that in italy all the dofs meet up in 2 hotels in milan during the window and thrash out deals between them. Guess where paratici is?

But yes you are correct, don't treat any rumours as anything serious until a bid is made.

To keep last season as nearly zero spend. They couldn't loan as they had reached their limit. After june 30th we go into next seasons. So it would make sense for them to sell richarlison then, then they can buy.

It rolls over a number of seasons. Usually 3 but due to covid it has been extended 19/20 and 20/21 had sort of been merged with the average taken. The ffp that has just been passed (with a lot of complaints) was for 17/18, 18/19, 19/20 and 20/21.

In the next ffp judgement they will be dropping 17/18 and adding 21/22. 17/18 they had a net spend of £70m, 21/22 £5m (which is even less as you take into account ammortisation, but sales are counted in one go).

Having said that, i don't know how much losing their sponsorship deals works out.
I think we might know a man with the inside track on their finances.

Daka would have been a great signing
We still have NO cover for Kane
We’ve always had sonny as cover for Kane even tho they’re not like for like, trouble was we never had cover for sonny when he was covering for Kane. But now Perisic can do that.

I’d still like to get one or two signings who can play anywhere across the front three.

That’s cover iMO
That’s weakening two positions

Last summer we brought in gil to cover son. It was also the conference league so scarlett could get game time. Obviously neither worked out that well in the end.

Anyone seen gakpo play? Another random link. Plays for psv. Wary of dutch players these days. Tend to not live up to expectations. But 12 goals and 13 assists in 27 league games is very good. Another that can play across the front 3 (probably why we're linked).

no because he is Dutch he is 100% nailed on to fail, as there is a direct correlation between each and any Dutch player … it’s logical and rational to think like this.

Ofcourse not. But you look at the likes of de ligt, de jong, sanches, van der beek, depay etc... absolutely fantastic in eredivisie but don't look as good in stronger leagues.

wrong moves at the wrong times for some mentioned. Moved too early that’s the only logical answer. They all have ability and have shown it since on the international stage.

many Dutch players have gone on to be epic signings after initial down turns.

not only Dutch players but non Dutch players that have signed from that league.
