Jesus

I came to this thread to get spiritual advice. Thought it was a christian thread.
Moving on...

if the player was called “Mohammed” would you have saying the same about it being a spiritual thread about Islam? … just saying …

There other one's the Christian thread and reports this morning are that manure are in pole position to sign him.
You'd think these lazy journos would at least come up with 'Eriksen has change of heart and wants to go to United' and 'Tottenham last minute bid to resurrect deal' headlines while they make this brick up

I'm not a Muslim, so no. My word people are mindblowingly over sensitive these days.
Is there anything at all that is allowed to joke about without snowflakes getting offended?

To be fair mate, when you have decades of people saying clearly/deliberately offensive brick, then when they get called on it say "oh, I was just joking, surely you knew I didn't mean that, after all I have one black/muslim/insert minority friend hence I can't be a brickbag", the tolerance level isn't very high. (None of this is aimed at you for clarity, but I think it's really easy to miss you are often backing people who are brickbags that got called on it, and want to pretend it was all kidding with the whole world is snowflakes thing, no the world is just a lot less tolerant of intolerance and that's a good thing)

Back on topic

Supposedly the Scum are paying City's price (£50M) plus supposedly offering him €16m a season (x5 years = £80M) which is around £286,000 a week

We are totally different buys than Woolwich, they must buy a striker as they haven't got any, we would like cover for our 2 proven strikers, that's why they'll pay over the top in price and salary.

If arsenal are willing to pay £286k a week that could be bad news for us. Raphina and richarlison would want something similar i'd guess. Which we won't pay. If arsenal do, more fool them.

the difference is we could pay those wages for a boneafide starter, of which Jesus and either raphinia or richarleson would be for the arse.

I believe we would be looking for a player legitimately staking a claim to start but possible squad rotation.

Think any of the Brazilians linked could do a job like Jota does for Liverpool

Us paying 60m for Rich or Raph when Dybala is available for free and will probably sign a 6m/year(after tax) contract with inter baffles me. Why is everyone just watching while Inter screws all teams in the transfer market every period? We are the only ones that sticked it to them with Perisic, elsewhere they get world class players for almost nothing and nobody puts in a bid. Onana 0, Calhanoglu 0, Dumfries 10m, Myhtaryan 0, Dybala 0, Dzeko almost 0, Goosens loan with 20m add ons included, Lukaku sold for 100m, loaned back for 8. Funny thing is, all those free transfers have no huge salary attached, which will be the case for Dybala too. Top managent there.

some of the players that you mentioned … pass.

But Dybala has a pretty poor injury record and I personally think would struggle in the premier league unless he was playing under pep.

I think our targets and transfer strategy only now is starting to look in place, Inter have had theirs for some time now. Paraticis old boss? Correct me if I’m wrong.

Juventus also play the free market very well.

Which is fair enough. But has no correlation to Kandis post.
The comment literally said nothing about religion apart from the title being Jesus and that being the same name as the main character in the Bible's.

It was entirely harmless.
Unless we are at the point where you can't say "Jesus" or "Christianity" anymore without the mere use of the word being offensive.
And if we are, quite frankly......tough brick.

Spot on for me.

A player may be a great deal on a free for one team while not being a good deal for a different club.

Paratici seems to like free transfer deals, as seen at Juve and now here. That doesn't mean we should sign someone because they're good and out of contract.

Free transfers can be rather expensive, and particularly if players have a poor injury record and are getting to an age where decline typically starts setting in and are asking for big wages. Quite happy to see us stay clear of Dybala, even though at his best he's a fantastic footballer.
