Christian Eriksen

No your right
That’s crazy for Moura considering he was out of the side for a big chunk and his passing isn’t the best
I don’t think it’s that crazy, only to people who constantly spend their time putting him down.

When he is on the pitch he always makes things happen and creates, yes he gives the ball away but that comes with being a dribbler and being someone who looks to break the lines and take risks. It’s a fair argument that he isn’t going to be the best person for a Conte system, but that system isn’t always going to work and you need a plan B - someone like Moura who can create is definitely worth keeping and utilising……

I hope we can get to sign for us but if I was him I'd stay at Brentford, he is and will probably be the only world class play they have, its virtually pressure free at the moment, here or United it's always pressure, the money cant be an issue and hes living in London.

Depends what he wants for the remainder of his career. At 30 under normal circumstances if being in London was important you would sign for Spurs. If however after what happened you are winding down then Brentford makes sense.

Lets say for example he was still at Inter and the incident didn’t happen yet he wanted to come back to London as it suited his family life, he wouldn’t be sounding out Fulham, Brentford or West Ham despite it being pressure free and constant playing time. You would be sounding out a London club in Europe ideally the CL.

So all comes down to what he wants for the last few years of his career. If he is still ambitious and his aims are unchanged by the incident then Brentford makes no sense whatsoever.

It all depends what he wants at this stage of his career:

Brentford = play lots of high-level football, not much pressure, have fun.
Spurs = known environment (club and manager), CL football, won't play every match.
ManU = money, money, money.

Sounds like he's having a good think. His stint at Brentford went brilliantly, so I would completely understand him wanting to stay there and make it home. He's already a club legend, so imagine how cool it'd be to keep them up again next season?

Tough decision.

Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss ManU. In theory, they'd offer him the chance of having one of the world's biggest clubs rebuilt around him...but in practice, they're a mess.

He has a chance of winning a trophy with us. Either an english trophy or cl. None of which he has won before.

Could be a kick up the arse for eriksen to make his mind up. If we did make him an offer 2 weeks ago.
Or he wants something we're not prepared to give.

Its definitely a head scratcher as if we have changed our mind then it would mean a change to what FP and AC feel we need from only 2 weeks ago.

Did they not plan a Bissouma type all along and therefore they once felt we also needed a more advanced CM hence Eriksen or did we just want one midfielder and in the end opted for Bissouma.

Eriksen seemed a sensible acquisition due to experience, quality, WC year, 5 subs and the ability he would give us to play 352 where required. Also sounds like we are not targeting another midfielder instead of him.

All very strange imo.

He could just be asking for wages and signing on fee we're not prepared to give. He's not guaranteed to start games.
