Dani Alves

He was a leader on the pitch and you could see that from the stands, i understand we also added other players but they were all youngish and we needed someone who had " been there done that and got the tee shirt" and Davids had it in spades.

From what I can gather the player who changed a lot of the mind set was Naybet. I’ve heard Jol say it, Keane say and king say it so pretty high praise

Given how poor I think we've looked, I'd offer him a years contract. If it doesn't work out then not a big problem.

If he doesn’t want silly money I see this as low risk and potentially a big up tick in term if his experience. We start from a low bar for first choice RB from last season, one of Aurier or KWP should go, the other become the alternative choice and Foyth emergency backup. I’d be tempted to sell Aurier due to his injury record

I've not posted a new thread on GG in approaching 15 years so be gentle please!

I see today Dani Alves has come to the end of his love affair in Spain - with Djed Spence looking like joining it would be a really clever move imo to sign Alves on a one year deal to act as competition and provide an education to young Djed.

This would enable us to send Royal back to Spain and Doherty's future would be optional.

Not one iota of rumour or substance, just a wish.

Thoughts welcome!

Dani Alves was past it 2 years ago. I'd rather play Royal, who I think is brick (As a wingback. Decent right back though)!

Would want too much money for basically being a cheerleader. No offense to cheerleaders, I do think it helps having experienced winners around but not this one.
