"It still won't fall England's way as Harry Kane's looping header rattles the crossbar.

The skipper then wants a penalty under a challenge from Zsolt Nagy, but ref Clement Turpin is unmoved.

Won't be getting a soft penalty to pad his stats this time."

Just another example of the total lack of respect Kane gets from so many who aren't Spurs fans. Most still think he's a brick overrated one season wonder. They just cannot hide their hate and bitterness.

Not watched a minute of these games, has Southgate lost the dressing room, or are the players just knackered?

If the latter, why has he not used these meaningless games to give loads of fringe players a look and those he wants at the WC a rest?

Players are knackered, not at all sharp and he’s also been giving run outs to squad players. It’s been a total mess in a joke of a competition.

that was the sort of result/performance you get at the end of a managers reign though.

A good day for Pickford, Trippier, Maguire, Mings, Rice, Grealish and to a lesser extent Foden and Mount. That could be eight starters for the World Cup, with perhaps Kane, Walker and one other completing the team. Given his defensive nature, the latter will probably by Phillips.

In all fairness, it was a pretty poor dive from Kane. If he was foreign or wasn’t England captain he would get a lot more stick as he’s got previous for it.

Can’t say I’m too bothered about the result. It’s a pointless competition. I’m more annoyed our players aren’t getting some well earned rest.

I did not watch as the 3 previous games had been so disappointing and I didn't want the euphoria of the England cricket win to be diluted. I followed on BBC webpage and this highly professional journalist named the keepers as Aaron Ramsey, and was critical of Maguire's defensive header for the first goal as Maguire was sitting 2 rows back on the bench at the time it must have been a terrible header. BBC really do struggle with social media.

It was a “dive” and no penalty. Hopefully everyone isn’t blindly following the lead of the co-commentator who said there was no contact though, as his standing leg (left) was clearly tapped. Not enough for a penalty, as I said, but it winds me up when these guys are looking at slow mo replays and fail to pick these things up. Kane felt the contact and went down softly.
