Absolute madness. I don't believe for a second we will unless we know something the public doesn't know yet?

I am not sure how we could when he is still under investigation. If the police investigations were complete and there was insufficient evidence to charge him, they would just announce it.

Given how few women feel comfortable coming forward when they are the victim of a sexual offence and how pitiful the conviction rate is, I think that this sends out completely the wrong signals and undermines a lot of good work by the club.

And Eriksen to potentially come too. It’s like we’ll have a proper squad or something going into the season!

What a job Conte / Paratici have done convincing Levy that he’s had to change his MO and start acting like a big club if we want results like one.
It’s Levy reverting back to his preferred model of DoF doing the deals, like he had under Arnesen, Baldini and Comoli. Unfortunately we went for some sort of transfers by committee approach under Poch and during the stadium build when it was probably the time we needed a wheeler dealer DoF like Paratici the most, rather than Hitchen et al!

We are still in the position to not over spend massively as well.

Winks will get 15-25 million - Biss is 25 million
Royal will get 15 -20 million - spence is 20 million
Stevie B will get 20-25 million - Rich will be around 60 million

CCV got in 6

He was on bail till june 6th. Nothing has been said since.

The club isn't responsible for the judicial system. We can't assume he is guilty either.

What if he’s innocent?

Every club does transfers by committee. Scouts, managers, dofs, lawyers, all have to be involved in a transfer. These are multi million pound deals.

I keep thinking keeping 5 players for CM happy might be tricky, but with World Cup, CL, domestic cups and potentially a title tilt (!), it actually feels appropriately resourced.

From what I have heard about the case, the alleged crime all took place in a busy night club.

The police were for months asking for witnesses. This comes from the youngsters at work, one of whom is a woman.

Whether they are telling the truth or just gossiping I don't know. Personally it feels like the police are trying to make an example of him with no evidence. Also and I don't think anyone can accuse me of being woke but the is a racial element to this.

Decent player, doubt he will be going to nightclubs much now.

You'd assume that they have spoken to his representatives and got independent legal advise. They won't know what the police's case is like now, though

Can only assume with legal advice and talking to his representatives they know a lot more than us - and make a good decision for the club as a whole and not just for the football pitch.

Definitely leaves some questions unanswered and mixed feelings. But surely the club can't be outright stupid about these kinds of things?
