Transfer thread

If we are looking for that sort of position, does anyone know if/when Bissouma's legal issues will be concluded?
I think he's only got a year left on his Brighton contract but he was arrested last year. Potter's still played him but there seem to have been no charges yet made, just an ongoing investigation?

I do suspect that us and several other potential suitors are/have been holding back on going for Bissouma for that very reason. He ticks a lot of boxes for a midfielder and would on the surface be a no-brainer for a lot of teams, so...

I'm sure we had reliable ITK that he failed our medical in Jan 2016 and that he had an underlying heart issue? In fact hasn't this heart issue surfaced more openly years after that?
@Danishfurniturelover it might have been you who first mentioned this, no?

From the player thread, the first mention of the knee problem seems to be in this article from January 2017: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...News-Moussa-Dembele-Deadline-Day-Bid-Rejected

We tried in January 2016. He may or may not have had a medical, depending on which reports you believe, but it looks like Fulham pulled the plug.

We tried again in summer that year, but he chose Celtic for career progression reasons.

In January 2017 Chelsea apparently tried for him. Their manager at the time, one Antonio Conte, said he'd never spoken to his board about the player.

From what my Fulham supporting mate claims… we had him All signed up and ready to join but wouldnt do the loan back
Everything health wise came after that
But IMO he ain’t worth us going for him now, we have progressed

Our priority surely must be two top quality wing backs.

After that, a left sided CB

After that a striker, who can lead the line

After that a creative CM

After that a home -grown back up keeper

Our transfer kitty should be allocated according to these priorities.

There has been a lot of talk about Bastoni in the last few days.

Figures in the region of 60 million euros are being bandied around
If we can end up getting him for barely more than the Gunners paid for Ben White, then we are laughing so hard that it could be a health risk.

Inter are bringing in Bremer probably as a replacement. Get this done quick before chelsea or someone decide they need a defender.

Bastoni: was he at the Euros?
And will he be our heir to Vertonghen?

Yes, he was at Euro "2020" - played only in the last group game against Wales. He will have to be pretty good to step into Vertonghen's shoes, but he's 23 so he could grow into them perhaps.

Plus he's got the World Cup off.
So can come in and be 'Conte'd' every day at the training ground.

Conte wants a new centre-back; Sportsmail understands Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni is the club’s first-choice candidate in that position. Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Red Bull Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol are alternatives.

Tottenham will complete a deal for Fraser Forster on a free transfer. The goalkeeper, who leaves Southampton next month, is understood to have already completed his medical. He will provide back-up to No 1 Hugo Lloris.

Bristol City full-back Djed Spence is of interest to Tottenham as is Eintracht Frankfurt’s wing-back Filip Kostic.

The future of Inter winger Ivan Perisic is also being monitored. Wolves forward Adama Traore, who snubbed Tottenham for a loan to Barcelona in January, is re-emerging as a target.

It is also understood Allan Saint-Maximin is of interest to Tottenham, but getting him of Saudi Sportswashing Machine will prove difficult. Spurs are also monitoring Richarlison’s future at Tottenham.

Conte and Paratici will also look to offload a number of the club’s fringe players this summer.

Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Sergio Reguilon Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon are among the players facing uncertain futures.

Adama Wanchope Traore again! Makes me wonder what Leandro and berahinho are up to these days? Do you know berahinho was Kane's favourite ever partner... zzzzzz

Wow," Bristol City full back Djed Spence" really? Has anyone told Forrest or Boro?

GreatWhiteNorf 'could' become Spurs team photographer. He would be a free transfer, uses the new Nikon Z9 and can lapse into decent Ckockney.

It is understood GWN is currently enjoying the close season at the lakeside wilderness of his Canadian Hinterland retreat and not immediately available to confirm details.

An offer has been extended. The club are playing it close to the vest. The photographer has refused comment but has been seen gesturing suggestively with his kayak paddle.

I am I. T. K. Give me my golden avatar.
