Keen to get a PS5 to keep the gaming revolution alive. Can i ask for those who still play, your age (or bracket if you dont want to share)?

I'm 37 now, and i love gaming but the Mrs keeps making snide comments about it. Maybe it's time i give it up, rarely get time now with work anyway. But i do like just picking up COD and runnin' and gunnin' (deleted Vanguard mind you, brick. Back on MW)

Do it , age is but a number . PS5 still hard to get but are popping up more frequently lately.

When It comes to the better half I tend to go on it when she’s watching all the bricky soaps . She’s Happy I go upstairs and don’t moan through them .

fudge that!! (the giving up on behalf of external pressure that is). As long as it doesn’t entirely consume your sense of being, video games are 100% healthy and productive in almost unthinkable ways. The danger zones are still there, if it comes to skipping work or education due to one more game on fifa or football manager then yes, you’ve got yourself a problem there but as long as it doesn’t get to that level, why would one deprive themselves of the joy / pleasure. That’s partly why i’ve signed off from competitive online gaming, i’d rather just immerse myself in to a story based game where I can dip in and out on my own volition.

I haven't but for games I honestly found YouTube a good source to get a sense of what games I should get. I think the youtuber TMRTN reviewed and played that series so might be worth a look.

I got into Far Cry series by checking out YouTube and last one was unreal, my favourite game in years

Appreciate the response, however I just ended up biting the bullet and picking up Arkham City for a tidy 8 pounds at a cash converters. I can be a bit particular when it comes to games but upon my first play I can tell i’ll get in to it, my initial thoughts is that it ties in to the detective aspect of Batman strongly, as shown in the last film but I did get stuck on a riddler trial with the tank which may need a bit of YouTube assistance.

No worries pal, I realise I was late to the party anyway.

Quality game though the Batmobile tasks can be tiresome.

Days gone any good? Just finished Far Cry 5 which was a nuts ending and thinking of buying number 6. Last of us 2 is best I've played ever along with RDR2
Far Cry 6 is more refined and funnier imo. Minor improvements but it's hard for a franchise this polished. Focus has been on character development and visualisation and that's helped making it even better than FC5. Also less dreamworld (drug induced abstract world) missions make it even more immersive.

I have Far Cry 6 now, its VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRY decent. My only pet hate on Far Cry 5 was the drug induced scenes that grabbed you from wherever you are in the game.

Lol me too.
I think being a fan of Better Call Saul certainly helped with engaging with the key characters in the game

Just started Horizon....its ok, I am kinda enjoying it, just can't get right into it

Just started the first one, it was a freebie on PS+ last year or the year before and only just getting to it. I quite like an open world game to just fudge around in and chill out, it's that or Warzone at the minute. Cyberpunk still on the pile to play too, oh and Witcher 3 gets it's next gen update in December, will be going back to that as there's still a bit of a next gen game drought out there...

I really like Cyberpunk. Maybe it’s because I didn’t get caught up in the hype so didn’t feel let down. But the game is very playable and the story somewhat compelling.

and the city is fudging amazing graphically.

I really loved the first Horizon game. Takes a while to get going, but once it opens up, goddamn. The acting in it is terrible, but the gameplay is just phenomenal, in my opinion. So much to explore and discover, and taking out those robot beasts is just a joy!

The new one is so crisp and the scenes and acting are decent. It's abit of a Zelda from the switch rip off in places but that's not a bad thing.

Definitely not a bad thing! Cheers, I need to dive in soon. I often postpone starting the big epic games, for whatever reason. :p
