Dane Scarlett

Looks like the forum branched out into an alternate timeline, then folded back in on itself.

Good news. Would indicate that he sees a real future and path at the club.

Hopefully the new contract/signing news will keep ticking in.

Nice now get him a good loan.

Now's the time, League 1/2 loan, get some good minutes under his belt, get kicked up in the air by big burley men. He's the future, he's in line for Kane's spot if all goes well, lets get him going.

Wonder if MK Dons would be a shout, Parrott seemed to enjoy his time there but as they didn't go up should be looking at a championship side next season?

Would have been a good loan for him to gain some experience

Not sure he's ready for adult football yet. He looked a boy amongst men even in the comfortable home win against Mura.

Not a slight on his potential, he just might be better staying in his age group for a bit (different to Parrott, who is physically very mature).

Not a League 1 team?

Not really, the guy has talent and i think ( generally) there is more football played in the championship then the hurly burly of Div I team. At the end of the day though i think we need to get some proper games into him ( not reserve or 15 min sub games here.)

expert level headers and penalties already
quick feet too

That is super kind so thanks, my post was actually a tongue in cheek reference to the same video interview being posted three times in the space of 10 messages but in isolation on a new page doesn't quite make sense.

Great news on the contract though, I've heard it said on here that this season was a wasted one, presumably due to a lack of game time - I'd be inclined to disagree as it can't hurt a young prospect to have had the chance to train alongside Kane and Son with the first team, as well as experiencing Conte's methods first hand and what it results in.

Next season however, as mentioned by a couple of posters it'd be nice to see him out somewhere like Lincoln FC tearing it up getting the first hand experience of men's football, the future looks bright for Dane and I do have faith that the club will find the best path for him but realistically it may not happen under Conte for the next couple of seasons.

Clearly, he has talent. How much of the praise from recent managers was a consorted push to get him to sign on I wonder? But the reason we desperately wanted him to sign, is because people think he is the real deal, so its the same thing in the end. I don't think we gave Scarlett much of run out but he was training with the first team most of the season? That will have shown him what level he has to play at. And the games he did play will have helped him develop - dealing mentally with getting on the pitch for the first team.

He didn't do much wrong in the few games he got. Even the best need a run of games to find their feet, and he got almost no service in fragmented sides. MK Dons is a decent shout for a loan. Maybe Parrot will come back and play in the domestic cups.
