Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

Chuckled when he was asked yesterday "Will you watch the Saudi Sportswashing Machine v Arsenal game tomorrow?"

"Of course. Because I love football and I want to suffer."

Legend. I've a pain in my rooster with all these managers and players saying "I won't even watch the game that will decide my future". Bollox you won't. Conte is almost like a fan sometimes the way he carries on. I love the little bastard.

I have never heard that turn of phrase before

When you think about it Conte has been simply utterly brilliant for us. When he took over both the Goons and us had played 24 matches, they with a return of 45 points and a goal difference of +11 and us 6 points behind with a goal difference of -1. Now they are 2 points behind with a goal difference of +9 while ours has jumped to +24. And if we are able to keep a clean sheet today it would mean 5 goals conceded in our last 11 matches of the season.

Now just imagine what he could do with more of his "players" and a full preseason.

We could still get third place today and I don’t think he can better that with the two top teams being so strong.

We have been very good at destroying teams once we're ahead. Still need to win those tight ones though.

He's magic you know!

Too soon/controversial/painful? He is though.

Very good performance this season. Has to work on that Chelsea hoodoo and I don't know what kind of squad he wants but we can't afford to use a small amount next year.

I laugh at the people doubting him earlier in the season when he was seeing who he can trust and who he couldn't in the squad.

I am hoping we see a quick turn around on players like Winks who have no future here under Conte.

The biggest thing was how we reacted to those two disappointing losses. The fans, the 'club psyche' was: ah brick here we go again. Conte wasn't thinking like this. And that is the difference with the arse and arteta. Post derby it was all bitterness from them (when it was still in their hands). They'd lost the 'castle game before it was played. They didn't have the mentality and crumbled...as we used to.

The stories about his future have started already, hope he signs a new contract soon and we get the transfer business started early doors.

What an incredible manager, in my lifetime I don't think we've had a manager with this kind of track record at the peak of his powers (Ramos had only done well at 1 club, Poch was good but still up and coming, Mourinho had lost his touch) before.

A truly world class coach who knows how to organise a team, put a structure in place, can outwit other managers in the tactical department, boosted the fitness levels.

Just hope he sticks around and Levy backs him, we should definitely be aiming to win a cup competition next year. When you think about it, it's laughable that Utd didn't go for him at the time.
