American politics

Besides this, I always hope that anti-abortionists are busy helping the many tens of thousands of orphans who have been left to scratch their way through a parentless/unwanted 'life'...obviously orphans can go on to have wonderful lives, but I am simply talking about the ones who are suffering and unwanted.

Its an interesting one, people willing to take guidance from out of date scriptures from religions that may or may not be built on truth (lets not get into that) over the modern day needs of humans who are there in front of them in the flesh. I actually find it all abit sad TBH. We all have to change our views in my opinion and can't fall back on the convivence of religion otherwise what life is it to live if we still have to hate homosexuals etc because religion tells us to.

We shouldn't hate anyone because someone else tells us.
We are humans and its natural to have faults so although its not ok to hate it will happen.
Its how you act on it that counts.

I know, religion is good at it, but they're not the only ones unfortunately, there's all sorts of clam groups out there.

Again I agree, the only issue you have with religion is that people get more jumpy when you question the view points because religion is often seen as a no go area for criticism. But when your choosing terrible human right views and using religion as your bat cape I think it has to be questioned.

I'm not in the least religious, i'm opened minded enough to see that it can do great good, but also terrible harm.
Being rather clumsy with words and opinions i tend not to get involved in conversations about religion as i find religious people can be a bit defensive.
Expect everyone to be on the good side, but be prepared for them not to be tends to be my approach. I know several people who quote religious teaching on groups but act the opposite when it individuals.

???

him refusing to delay the result ?
By refusing to buy into either of Eastman's illegal plans. Hardly a hero I know but he at least bucked his record of being Trump's biggest sycophant right at the death.

Until they re-elect Trump.
I'm fairly confident that won't happen now after these hearings. The DOJ more or less confirmed that Trump is under federal investigation regarding the coup with the wording of their request for material from the committee.

I wish I shared your confidence.

I’m currently watching Question Time, where an audience in Saudi Sportswashing Machine - in the north of England, for goodness sake - has a fair proportion of people who seem to think that our current government is doing a great job.

The whole world has gone a bit Animal Farm.

Well 1984 maybe, but I still believe enough people will come to their senses to change the current direction of travel. Today at least I am an optimist. The falcon can still hear the falconer.

I was resigned to the fact that Trump would escape any real accountability but now I am leaning the other way. The evidence is that compelling that to ignore it would cause more civil unrest than to act on it. He is the hub of a seditious conspiracy and to not prosecute now would be a blatant political decision rather than one based on evidence. That is not Garlands modus operandi. He is cautious but ultimately will get the job done.....eventually.

As for the UK, well I'm confident that audience member is not indicative of the growing trend away from tory rule. For all the damage they have done the one silver lining is they have been exposed for who they truly are. The mask is off.
