Transfer thread

when we played Brighton it was clear Bissouma needed to develop his finishing. A bit like Dembele he can open up space himself for a shot, but doesn’t deliver the payload shooting off target. But he’s getting into positions to score and advancing attacks. If he was scoring goals too we probably couldn’t afford him, but he has potential to. You can see him adding this to his game and getting a few a season. Would be far more excited by Bissouma than Philips who might be a small upgrade on Hojgjerg; and even that is debatable.
It’s all about opinions
I rate bissouma but his court case needs to be concluded first
And then he needs to sort his off the field antics
2 driving bans since he has been in the Uk shows to me how he operates off the field
You should watch more of Philips though. The guys done great things in a weak side, and will be a great signing for anyone and he would be an upgrade on Hojberg for sure IMO.

Phillips is good at footy, but this is unacceptable and tells me to avoid. Huge red flag.

Quite some talk the last few days that he is about to sign for the Gooners.
Arsenal have agreed a fee of up to 25m euros (£21.2m) for Bologna'sScotland international full-back Aaron Hickey. (Calciomercato - in Italian)

The Gunners are also closing on a 3.5m euro (£3m) deal to sign 19-year-old Brazilian striker Marquinhos from Sao Paulo. (ESPN)

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also preparing an opening bid for Emirates Marketing Project striker Gabriel Jesus, 25. City want between 50m and 60m euros (£42.4m-£50.0m) for the Brazil international. (Fabrizio Romano)

with covid normalization and stadiums filling up are there any clubs still facing financial difficulties and needing to unload players?

Not sure why Hickey would be interested in being Tierney's understudy(?). Would be an odd move for him

Gabriel Jesus would be a useful addition for us if Bergwijn left given he can play across the front 3

Tierney probably being replaced, too injury prone.

With the whole world going into mass stagflation, football won't be insulated from that. But the main issue over the past few years has been players refusing to leave anywhere because they won't take the salary drop. Hence the increase in loans and players running out their contracts and leaving on frees.

I thought he was awful
Comfortably out worst player
He didn’t hug the line all frost half which meant we had no out ball on the right
Really?
Granted the chance he set up for harry made no difference because of the pen, but he created a couple of really good chances for us.

Yeah really
Woefully out of position most of the time
And just dribbles into players
He is chaos when we need control
Wound be really poor as a wing can as he can’t pass
