Transfer thread

Wary of Leeds players, did they just look better because the team was functioning well as a unit under Biesla?

As long as they would also look good in a Conte setup does it really matter?

I think some of what's required under a Bielsa system translates quite well to a Conte system. Hard work, intensity, tactical discipline, being brave on the ball. But the roles involved for many areas of the pitch are quite different.

A couple players that I think would do well. Phillips and Raphina at least.

I want our transfer activity to largely concentrate on two top quality wingbacks. Of lower priority should then be a left sided centre back and an outright centre forward. If we sell Winks and PEH, then we should get in a Bissoma type player.

Ok, If you could only buy British/Homegrown players this window who would you go for? Realistic targets only....

*Not including Sam Johnstone as I think that is pretty much done already.

The wing back Spence at Forest/Boro

Kalvin Phillips or Ward Prowse. Phillips more realistic with Leeds going down but he will have a lot of suitors….

Don't forget his dad played for City.
And City are RICH.
And win lots of things.

Its a good fit for his ‘loan’ move. Haaland wanted it to be a proper transfer to a club he can seriously step up in until Real Madrid is ready for him. Its a nice next step in his career before he makes his final move to his real end game.

The one thing that makes the Real move in two years likely is that this is a Raiola deal, even if he's not here anymore. Moving players to new clubs every couple of years is where those bastards agents steal the supporters' hard earned money.

Would certainly have been another plus to doing this move now rather than straight to Real Madrid. There is indeed multiple reasons why Haaland and Real Madrid chose this route. However when he joins Real Madrid in 2-3 years there will be no more significant moves after that. As long as he maintains his level he will be at Real Madrid long into his thirties. And that is what Haaland wants and all players tbf.

Scott Twine goal scorer and assist maker.

LEWIS o'Brian tough defensive midfielder at Huddersfield.

Alex Scott looks raw so would lend him back to Bristol City to learn more of the game.

In the premiership I would take Jack Harrison from Leeds an hard working home grown replacement for Lucas with more end product.

Saw us linked with Gordon at neverton but that would be dream land.

Depending on the route we go down rico henry would be a very capable and dependable left back. I love Sessegnon but not his injuries. Would not mind selling sess and reg and having the Brighton left back and rico henry in their place.

Twine's freekicks are really good too

Trying to concentrate on gettable players….

Kalvin Phillips for CM (transformative player for us)
Pope or Johnstone for GK
Spence for RWB
McNeil for LWB
Twine for AM
Lloyd Kelly for LCB
Rashford for CF/WF. If not gettable then Bamford (if no long term injury concern) or Brereton Diaz as backup CF

I like all of these
This for me would be an amazing way to go and unfortunately an unlikely one
But there us so much talent in this group that you have named

Agree with most of that but don’t really know anything about twine or Lloyd Kelly. The one name I’d say no to is Marcus rashford. I think he’s been found out and is not really that good. He’s certainly been poor for man U for a long time now

There's no way i'd sell PEH. We should be looking to get someone like Bissouma anyway. And ship out Winks.
