***OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs The Worlds Biggest Ashthmatics ***

For all that they ran and ran i thought Liverpool looked mentally drained after about 30 mins.
Also thought they were very one dimensional in style.
They looked like a team with only one way of playing and we snuffed out their attacking 3 so easily it killed their game

I can see the Goons dropping points against Leeds and Pooscastle. And possibly a last minute Dele goal. And this coming Thursday at The Lane.

I am in a more confident mood this morning. Just have this funny feeling the NLD will end in a draw, but, Arsenal will finish with 1 win and 3 draws and we will finish with 2 wins and 1 draw, 69pts each, making last nights point massive.

I pretty much called this game during the week how it played out. Now, does that make me some footballing intellectual on the level of Klopp, Pep and Conte?

Not really because most of my predictions tend to go south. It just shows what a one trick pony Klopp is. It's a great trick but everyone knows how they will play and what we did is how you play against it if you have quality and pace up front.

Poch, Jose and even Conte have got stick on here for no plan B. Klopp is the epitome of a man with no plan B and the clam can't take it when someone out thinks him.

He is such an arrogant bell end
It’s why he is such a good manager

Thats a definite dig isn't it? At one point at around 85 mins I saw them hunting down one of our players and our lad looked dead on his feet and theirs looked like he'd just come on. It's crazy.
I think it’s probably well known in and around football that they somehow use Peds and have done for 5 years

I don’t think it was a dig at all…, I think it was admiration and also perhaps a message to our own players, both in that we did really well to come away with a point and probably deserving all 3 as well as showing his admiration for a team that give every ounce of effort in every game despite 2 games a week.

What are Peds? I saw someone saying something about asthmatic drugs. The Liverpool team should be subjected to drugs testing and the drug outlawed if it can make that much of a difference so as to create an unfair advantage between those that have taken it and those that haven’t. The drug only acceptable use is if someone genuinely requires it and it it’s an asthmatic drug you can’t tell me that the whole Liverpool squad are asthmatics (if they are indeed taking it).

Realistically not many managers have a dramatic alternative plan. They might have some modifications that is usually player selection based but yes the desire for a grand plan B is often overstated. What I always hope is that a our coaches can learn from what is not working and make adjustments to address the problem areas rather than suddenly going from a counter attacking side to a ball heavy possession based one.

Problem is, our plan A is easier to play against than theirs.

Problem is, everybody's Plan A is easier to play against than theirs.

But for the perverse deflection that would have been only their third defeat in 46 PL games since March 2021.

PED - Performance enhancing drugs.

Who knows if everything will ever come out about the Liverpool / asthma thing, but the fact is the most reliable information comes from “a source within the club” so in my eyes it’s as bonafide as 99% of transfer story trash in the tabloids.

Won’t be a popular opinion on here but I think many people are buying in to the conspiracy because it’s more pleasant than admitting Liverpool are really fudging good.

Every club will be pushing the limits to get the most out of their players and if what Liverpool allegedly have been up to has made such a huge impact, why wouldn’t every other club be doing it too?

That’s a fair point and applies to most coaches but particularly philosophy coaches like Pep and Klopp. They never mix it up. It helps that their plan A is exceptional and they have great players. But Jose at his peak had a plan B, Conte doesn’t always set his team up like he set us up both times against Liverpool and I even recall Fergie mixing it up several times in Europe. I guess those three are more practical than wedded to a philosophy though.

As much as I don't like Liverpool, I think we are getting ahead of ourselves because it's Liverpool. No one out thought Klopp yesterday. We played our game and his team played theirs. They played a big game in midweek whereas we had a full week to prepare. It showed too as their players didn't look as sharp as normal. If they had been I don't think we would have got anything out of the game.

We rode our luck at times but in the end deserved the point and could have nicked it. On another day it was far more likely that we lose than we win.
