I was told in Jan that he was all set to come here once he priced his health at Brentford and that was from a Brentford employee on the ground side
I think it’s up to us to do the deal now
 
The other good thing about Eriksen coming back is if he indicates he wants to, it'll all be sewn up asap.
No drawn out nonsense, or introducing/convincing him of anything.

And with LOADS of business to do this summer, that's a massive plus.

For as long as I have supported Spurs that has always been the case though. Perhaps the time when we had the most squad options was under Harry, a decade ago. Conte will have to adapt slightly, if he wants success here, like all Spurs managers have had to as it is unlikely he will ever get his ideal spurs squad.

I don't think even the most optimistic Spurs fan would have expected to finish above Chelsea, Emirates Marketing Project or Liverpool. But even taking into account that Arteta has been there longer, his Arsenal side have been very inconsistent this season and Conte's success at other clubs has come from an almost immediate impact, so imo it was realistic to think we could finish 4th or 5th if Man Utd had got their brick together. But finishing below Arsenal will hurt if that happens.

It’s how they nicked a lot of results

Does he really have to confront the club (his employer) about this? Banging on about 'big club' and implying we've let them walk over us and we're doing nothing.. Cut out the belittling.

He hasn't been back in this league for long, i'd guess he has little knowledge about how these things work here, TV pays the bills in this league. I dare say Inter, AC, Barca, Madrid have more clout over the TV companies in their respective leagues (tv companies that aren't making them massively rich)

Maybe pull in the same direction on these matters.....say what you've got to say to the PL.

I disagree, because 'pulling in the same direction' is what every one of our coaches prior to Conte has done, and it has led to the situation where we simply don't act the way we should as a properly 'big' club. Our coaches tend to fall in line and not criticize either the way the club is run or blatant bias against us, and I'm sick of it.

He wouldn't be bringing it up if we were more assertive with the PL to begin with, but we almost never are. The postponed Arsenal game back in the winter was the first time I saw the club actually attack a blatantly rigged decision in no uncertain words, going as far as a club statement. Before that, we almost never picked a quarrel with them, and this is despite having been ludicrously f*cked over by the PL multiple times, including most blatantly in 2006.

Likewise with referees - as a club, we're famously easygoing on them. The one time Poch even dared to pick a fight with some ludicrously biased refereeing, half the fans thought it lacked class, he had to humbly apologize a week later, and the refs got off thinking we were a soft case for the rest of his tenure here.

A true 'big club' would have been pressuring them, hounding them, making them dread Spurs games every time they come up. That's what gives us the advantage, that's why Liverpool have gone sixty games without a penalty against them or something ludicrous like that, that's why refs give everything for them at Anfield.

We need to act like a big club if we want to be one. And the things Conte has been pointing out about how ramshackle we are behind the scenes is indicative of how far away we were from that when he arrived. It's shocking how little the club cares about the little things that, added up, make us better than the sum of our parts.

So, let him call all this out - the more the merrier, and hopefully the club moves its arse on fixing it once he calls it out.

Levy acts like a big property developer with the government but doesn't pull his weight enough for the football club that is the cornerstone of all his other enterprise.

This is all unfounded nonsense. All clubs have had a scheduling moan this season.

Perhaps respond to the point that even OJ Simpson's lawyer could not change the times/dates the TV companies wish the games to be played on.

Managers/Coaches - of clubs big and small - call out fixture scheduling pretty frequently and castigate - or at least make inferences - about referee decisions.
The fact that this is going on across all clubs kind of implies that they are not doing anything more than we are? Or if they are, it's not making any difference.

And it's pretty rare to hear anything official from the clubs. Our statement about the postponed Woolwich game was noticeable for that reason. I don't recall (m)any official public statements from other clubs about scheduling - but maybe I am not taking enough notice when it's not my club.
