It's hard to believe any rumours about his fitness. He clearly worked hard in preseason to get in shape for the start of the season, Then again with Conte coming in a few weeks before he moved to Everton he would have had to have been working hard in those early training sessions. Do you think Lampard is just not playing him because he's scared to start him? Maybe because he is more of a flair player than an all-action, tough tackling, hardworking midfielder you need in a relegation battle. I don't know. Maybe he has already tinkled him off somehow, but you would have thought Lampard would think he could offer something that the rest of their terrible squad can't.

Oh no I get that, He's a lost cause as far as I'm concerned. My point is that they wanted him, they signed him, and yet haven't played him. I don't think its fitness related, therefore wondering what the real reason is for not giving him a game considering Lampard gave the green light to sign him.

I wonder What fitness work was he doing in the summer?
I’m not a big social media fan, but I saw clips of Maddison in the summer doing drills and shooting practice etc so football related.
He can’t even get on tonight.

Not sure they can even buy a result as they did against Wimbledon way back when when they were last in relegation danger (4-2 win last day of the season I think).

I wonder if he has been told not to play him? Spurs only get cash if he appears in 20 games I believe and Everton are massively cash strapped now they have lost their Russian sugar daddy.

Would be completely pointless taking him off us then wouldn’t it? They could have played him every game till the end of the season to avoid relegation and that would have saved them more cash than the 20 game transfer clause.
