Formula One on Sky

and on the point about the 'if the race were void then Max would have won on number of wins in the season" which is also a bit farcical as we had one race non-event due to rain. Everyone should have got zero points and void that race, instead Max was given it as a win by virtue of getting pole position the day before, not really fair.

I don't mind that, as that's what the rules said should happen.

The not following the rules at the last race on the other hand...

DRS is stupid, completely devalues overtakes.

These two could do this for an hour, I'd much rather see one well executed move than 30 easy swaps.

Karma

has he just thrown a strop and quit the race when he could have still scored points?

chippy little fudger

Very lucky and undeserved podium for the cry baby. Was nowhere near the front runners.
Brilliant result for Haas, and nice to see both Alfa Romeros in the points!

Undeserved? Why?
First goal of a race - complete it.
Not much of a front runner if you don't go the distance.

OK I finally clicked on the Netflix Drive to Survive thing and it was/// last season? Boring. Old news. I skipped to the last episode and it was gratifying to see lots of drivers saying that the result was flimflam and fabricated.

The first two seasons were great because both Mercedes and Ferrari arrogantly blocked access behind the scenes to Netflix. So we got to enjoy gruff, lovable Guenther Steiner regularly setting verbal tire fires as he coped with two feuding drivers. Zac Brown is another team principal I like and we didn't get to see enough of him this last series. Even Horner had a certain charm to him as the fiery pursuer of Mercedes when Red Burp couldn't compete. Now? He's an absolute joke and scenes of him and wife Ginger Spice horseback riding on the estate or target shooting do him no favours.

Of course there's plenty of bullschitt in Netflix' production, but there's also some really lovely cinematography and editing. The cars this year are gorgeous to look at - esp. Ferrari, mamma mia - and they're surrounded by beautiful people. It really is a guilty pleasure.

The red of Ferrari this year though...

I knew Mercedes were in trouble when the car was bobbing up and down in preseason!

For what is essentially a dull sport there always a lot going on: rocket attack, shumacker in hospital and Hamilton knocked out of first qualifying. The race itself will be a snooze fest! Still can’t be worse than last weeks’ which was like watching paint dry. Maybe the Houthi will spice up the event by firing another rocket!
