Is Cost of Living the New Pandemic?

So as we reach out to the post Covid era we now enter a period of new struggles, with the ever increasing cost of fuel, energy and food added to that the knock on effect of the war and inevitable rise in tax, are we entering a new period of financial struggle?

Sorry, sir not you, I was pointing at the chap behind you in the green shirt.

It's all easily fixed with a smidgen of wealth redistribution. The current situation is a deliberate political choice. All poverty of any sort this century is

Exactly. It's the thing that pure capitalists understand - there is no long term future.
Capitalism is a zero sum game and growth is unsustainable as a result.
It's all a choice. And being selfish wins.

Didn't France cap some of the price rises in energy? Obvs it took mass portests which we're in the process of outlawing pretty much but changes can be made if there is a willingness to.

Of course, when you're run by a bunch of entitled millionaires why would you care if poor people can't pay bills.

I think France is predominantly nuclear power, so gas prices doesn't bother them as much.

We are paying the price for Canerpn and Osborne pulling the plug on fracking.

We are run by entitled millionaires as someone above said.

They want to sell off the few things we do well for a pay day from their mates. They do not think about the energy or food security of the country.

I admire the new focus on Asia and the rest of the world but that is not in itself enough.

Yup. Our world is an advert attempting to make you believe you can’t exist without luxuries whilst many go without the basics to survive.

The brilliance of it is, if you’re aware of this you can only be virtue signalling and should stop bothering to care.
