Rodrigo Bentancur

Very good debut, considering he only played ~15 mins. 3 important tackles/interceptions, and he seemed to slot in very comfortably.
I think we are going to enjoy watching him.

Those tackles/interceptions, for me the one on Bissouma before Sanchez got fouled was particularly impressive. Got wrong sided, just inside the area against a very tricky player, but just got in and stopped him, very good.

Got deeper, into the area too at times to good effect.

Couple of nice forward direct passes, very nice bit of skill.

Absolutely nothing not to like. Early days, brief cameo qualifiers obviously.

Cant judge him or kulu after one game but if I was to hedge my bets, Bentacur will be a mainstay in the starting line up and kulu looks like he will have to up his game far more.

A very promising cameo appearance. Seeing him win a header early on in the opposition half was a positive. As was his no-nonsense approach to Bissouma.

Seems his nickname is lolo. His younger brother couldn't pronounce rodrigo, calling him loligo. Which became lolo.

yesterdays result overshadows most of what Bentancur had to contribute, but it is looking very promising.

A player with a dash of Dembele's ball control, Huddlestones passing range, and the mobility of.. well, can't think of a spurs midfielder of recent with quick feet.

Anyhow. Should become the first choice of our midfield rather quickly, I'd think.

Showed enough during his first three minutes on the pitch yesterday to convince me he should be a starter.

I don't want to get carried away on the basis of initial glimpses.
But he's making it difficult not to do that.

Really like what little I've seen so far. Let's see how he fares when starting a game.
I wonder how he'd have managed up against Southampton's fierce start.
