Dele Alli

If Dele turns good any chance we get him back? Deal seems like a satisfaction guaranteed or money back guarantee that benefits Everton only.

I wasn’t ready for this. A loan was fine but to say goodbye?

for many people football is about trophies and winning. But we’re Spurs fans. For me it’s about the moments. And it has to be because what’s the point otherwise.

not many players have given me as many moments as this guy. What a player. What swagger. And honestly I never stopped believing in the guy.

I just think the narrative changed. I don’t think he lost it as nearly everyone believes. I think there are many reasons why talented players at Spurs have failed to shine over these past few years.

Dele and Eriksen specifically lost something as the team tried to reinvent itself post Dembele and Wanyama. With Winks and Sissoko in the middle, Poch asked more of Eriksen and Dele, dropping deeper. The injury certainly hampered him.

but look at his record in terms of goal involvements:
19 in 33
25 in 37
19 in 36
8 in 25
12 in 25

Then 1 in 15
And 1 in 10

Where he rarely started and rarely played in his preferred position.

I honestly believe if you played him in that no 10 role or an advanced midfielder consistently he would always get you 10 goals at least.

I think most of us can agree the move was best for him and us unfortunately. But what a ride. What a player.

what incredible moments, from the moment he nutmegged Modric you just knew this kid had something.

that palace goal, those Chelsea goals at home, those Chelsea goals away, the Ajax game, the Real Madrid match, that lob away at the scum… pure joy. He along with that whole group, embodied so much about that whole pochettino era. What a time it was.

All the best Dele… wish you nothing but the best and thank you for all the incredible memories

Was just thinking of the modric nutmeg lol.

Thanks dele.

Jesus, Everton must be taking their transfer money out of their Twitter budget. WTF is that picture?

Sickened. Really sickened. Yeah it's best for all concerned but he was one of us. He had the world at his feet. Remember Palace, remember Chelsea, remember Madrid. Great times, great player.

Us and Dele have come to the end of the road - it's been obvious for a while. It doesn't make it any less sad.

Sad moment for sure. Dele's first few years with us were obviously incredible.

Hunger, movement, aggression, humour and end product -- an end product machine.

I'll try to just focus on these for my memories of Dele - he had a great run and was a big part of a quality Spurs team.

Those days long gone though, he's a system player, and he def doesn't fit into Conte's system - or debatably most systems out there in football with most managers.

Fee rising up to £40 mi?!

If true, Levy/Paratici have played a blinder there. That'd be a great price for someone who has been well past his best for ages now.

Absolutely the right move for the club and for him...but it's disappointing it ended this way. Still so young and so much talent, I hope he can get back to form and become a very good player for Everton (just not at the expense of Spurs.)

Thanks Dele.

How many agents does one footballer need?! 5 agents!! Clearly valuable in getting him a move to the footballing hotspot that is Everton.

Gutted to see him go. I had a season ticket for the magical season that was 2017/8. Dele was on top form, and the player that every club it seemed wanted. He was great to watch play and the future it seemed was bright both for him, and for us. Sadly that wasn’t the case for either party.

There are many happy memories. And I wish him all the best at Everton. He still has a lot to offer and maybe this move could be just what he needs to kickstart his career.

I think the fee is likely to be between £12m - £20m maximum as fully expect the extras ti be mostly unobtainable like Everton qualifying for the CL within the next two seasons.

But if Conte didn’t have Dele in his team then the wages and transfer fee are better spent elsewhere.

As far as i'm aware he never had an agent. Just his foster parents and a lawyer.

Might have changed.

Dele was a player I always wanted to get back to the form of a few seasons ago. Such a telented footballer but for some reason after Poch left he just didn’t get that form back, whether it’s attitude, confidence, work ethic….who knows?

i do wish the lad well, I hope he plays a lot, gets his form back and plays for England again. And when he comes back I am sure he will get a great welcome from the fans.

Good luck Dele and thanks for the good times,
Especially that goal against Palace!
