Dele Alli

Where did it all go wrong? The red card against Gent seemed like a bit of a turning point, he seemed to start overthinking things after that.

Is the Dele Alli Deli Alley in the stadium allowed to keep its name as a lasting tribute to him?

was just watching the Goals from the Ajax game and easy to forget he got two assists in that game. Sad how its ended. I feel like the emergence of Son with Kane just forced him out of a position he could no play. And since then we have not played a system that gets anything out of him. But also he has just look like he gives zero fukks in some games as well.

Overall he's been brilliant for us, so many thanks, Dele. I hope you come good again, as long as you don't do it against us. Fantastic player on his day (and there were a lot of them). All the best, Dele.

Do you guys get emotional from letting players go? Nothing wrong with that, obviously, but I just haven't done myself for a long time. Bale was the last one, maybe.

I feel sad to see him leave but it just wasn’t going to work for him here any more, for whatever reason.
I will always have good memories of his time with us when he was playing well, and him being a part of that very special Poch team means he has a place cemented in our recent feel-good history.
Good luck Dele, I hope you can recapture some of what once made you such a special player. Just don't do it against us, of course.

Good luck to him, just lost his edge/motivation and can't seem to get it back. Think the effort is still there but somethings not right with his mind, like his hear isn't in it anymore. Lampard will be a great teacher for him, if he doesn't perform under him then there's really nothing left.

King, Dawson and Vertonghen all hit me. Alli maybe sits next tier down with Eriksen and Mason.

The dele song is such a favourite of mine
I’ve sang that in every ground I’ve been too since he signed
I hope he gets a rousing reception when we play them at the lane
And I hope he gets his head right to play well there

With respect to Lampard, he's not Conte. Or Mourinho. Or Poch. He's barely up to Nuno's level in management terms. If the above couldn't coax a tune out of Dele, then the only thing I can think will change him is the new surroundings. And in truth part of me wants him to rediscover it, but another part only wants that to happen for Spurs.

Gonna be weird seeing him in another shirt.

He's immediately Everton's best player, Lampard should build the team around him.

Even though I know it’s the best thing for the club and probably him I’m still sad to see him go as he was a big part of so many good times. Just will seem weird seeing him another shirt.

He's not though. Not today. Three years ago version would be, but he's flicked, scuffed, and prodded around since then and largely been a waste of time on the pitch.

He could be their best player but the danger to someone like Lampard who is trying to prove he's better than his time at Chelsea shows is that he builds a team around a guy who rather than looking like a modern day David Platt, ends up playing like carlton palmer.
