Sounds like we are not that keen to play it ourselves. But the arse are less inclined to having played last night with 10, and missing even more players. If we can it would be good to bounce back from the chelsea game on Sunday I think. We're likely stronger than them and at home.

Guardian is saying they’re in talks now to postpone the game.

Only a matter of time until it’s announced you’d think.

Was on to the club as I was planning on coming across and had a couple of things booked (tour, Skywalk). The lady on the phone was mystified about talk of a postponement. She was very much towing the company line of "we've heard absolutely nothing as a club".

She did say I could re-book the tours if it was postponed so wasn't motivated by that. Probably counts for nothing but she seemed genuinely surprised.

I wonder if she is the same lady who on the day the Leicester away game was postponed told me it had already been rearranged to the end of April (actually the date of our home game) :D

Here's what Arteta said last night around Arsenal's depleted squad...

“We have assessed [Saka], we had to take him off, he was uncomfortable and felt something. We had other issues. We have just arrived [back in London] and we haven’t had time to make a formal assessment how everybody is.

“He [Odegaard] is feeling OK, he is still positive, the uncertainty on the days and when he will be available will probably be resolves on matchday. There are no further Covid cases so far, we have just been tested and we haven’t got all of the results back. Hopefully not.

“It’s a challenging situation because we are really short of numbers for many different reasons – AFCON players, Covid cases, and injuries – but it is where we are. Unfortunately we are facing that unpredictability every single day and we have to adapt to it."

Play to our strengths

Would be an absolute tinkle take if Arsenal can call this off based on 1 Covid case. Everyone knows the ACON takes place every other winter, and has done for decades.
