Giovani Lo Celso

A player with no desire should not be playing professional football never mind PL football. Where was our due diligence on these signings?
In sure we did plenty
Tanguy showed some desire coming from lower level at Guingamp
Lo celso has the “failed” time at PSG
Sessegnon at the time was a young prospect wanted by a lot of sides
But…. Maybe we paid them too much too quickly
The salary thing was a motivation IMO for the Poch team as they all had new improved contracts in that spell
Paying Tanguy £200k me a she has made it already, and he really has a long way to go to make it

Watford's Emmanuel Dennis and fellow striker Victor Osimhen have both dropped out of Nigeria's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Hornets have reportedly refused to release Dennis, who has scored eight Premier League goals this season.

So we could refuse Lo Celso permission to go in Jan, same with Romero too

It’s a technicality that Watford have used
And Osihmen has Covid hasn’t he

Argentina haven’t made the mistakes yet

Don't think that is very fair on Nigeria. If I were Nigerian I would be pretty livid

I am more than livid. To miss out on one of the top strikers in Africa for our top tournament in our rival's backyard because of this - I will have long memories on this. Nigeria is hopefully about to qualify for the World Cup - it will be interesting seeing what these players and their clubs say then.

In Watford's case, Troost Ekong is also there. Troost is with the Nigerian team. The Nigerian Federation sent invites to both players at the same time.

I am fully in support of Watford being relegated at the end of the year.

Why haven’t the authorities kicked off

Nigeria messed up. They didn't call him up by the deadline. They called him up afterwards. Watford said no (as is there right). He hadn't played for nigeria for months.

That is what Watford said. My sources within the NFF said differently. Nigeria sent invites to the players at Watford. Only Emmanuel didnt show up. Inside news is that Emma doesnt want to play for Nigeria and worked with Watford to pull off this crap. Nigeria will never force this situation but will rather note it for the future.

This has happened before in the case of a certain player. When a member of the NFF was asked about inviting the player again, his response was 'if the player likes, let him score on the moon - no invite'.

Had very high hopes for GLC, but he needs to go.

I'd be surprised if we couldnt find a Spanish team to take him on loan given his Argie appearances and Betis background. Loan him out, hope he plays well and then puts himself in the shop window for the summer

In fairness he delivered some decent corners today too.
Apart from one, they all hit the first defender, but that's not the point. Again, his quality, that some claim he has, and workrate was none existing. Add to that, he's mostly injured. Pointless player, and he needs to be binned off ASAP! Problem is, who'd want him?

But he did manage an assist and 6 key passes
I agree he needs to go but he did show more than a few out there which is why he was kept on for longer
He also got MOTM on who scored which I’m surprised about
What was noticeable was that once he had forwards on the pitch he looked to pass their way… wasn’t rocket science really

Lest we forget both Tanguy and GLC ( together with Sess and Clarke) were the final legacy from Poch. When he was at the zenith of his influence with Levy having just taken us to the CL Final, he would surely have been the driving force behind these signings ( as with the other Argentnian flops Foyth and Gazanigga).

Just imagine if we had spent that money well instead of on these wasters!!!

Imagine if he’d had the chance to work with them…BTW, Sess was committee not him. I think we should’ve kept Foyth - he can pass and play football!
