I must admit to having fallen out of love with football over the last few years but the last couple of matches have rekindled some of the magic.

Perhaps Ian McNabb, he of the Icicle Works, has it right when he says you must be prepared to dream. He dreamt of making an album with Crazy Horse as his backing band and that came to fruition so there's hope for us all.

McNabb is much overlooked. This live performance on the Whistle Test from many moons ago is truly outstanding - still watch it regularly after all these years.
