OMT - Leicester City *POSTPONED*

Perhaps the OMT gods would prefer us NOT to have an OMT this time around. We know what's in store: despite having two players sent off, we will hold on valiantly with 9 men till the last 30 seconds...then a 95th minute Vardy pen will break our hearts. Who wants to start the OMT with that coming?

Anyone got a clue who’s unavailable/available? I guess if we can keep it under wraps might be able to spring a surprise on Leicester.
Might be one of the few games we see a change of system.

I can see the injured list with Covid as the reason..

Davies, Son, Moura, Royal, Skipp, Gil and Scarlett
...Plus Reguilon as doubtful due to muscle injury.

Not sure how up to date this list is though? Maybe some like Gil and Royal had no symptoms and are already back.

My guess is we won't know until the lineup is announced (assuming the game happens).

Likely to be some uncertainty about some players. Some perhaps just back to training with the need to see how they look in training first. Very little to be gained for Conte by telling Leicester who he has available.

Somewhere in the range of 4-6 natural starters missing, interrupted training with uncertainty about who will be available. Big test for Conte and of course for the players coming in for current first choice players.

This will be a real challenge.

Conte is doing a press conference this afternoon, so hopefully, he might tell us a little about who is available.

The rumours are that Royal and Gil were the first to contract it and they returned to training on Monday. It's probably going to be a bit tight on the rest for this game but they are meant to be back for Sunday.

Lloris, Royal, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Sess, Winks, GLC, Gil, Bergwijn, Kane

(assuming the first two illnesses are back, but the others not yet)

and we have players who haven't had COVID who have had a nice bit of rest too

Their injury list is actually longer than ours! Although I don't know if they are all starters for them or not (Lookman, Amartey, Benkovic, Choudhury, Vestergaard, Evans, Perez, Iheanacho, Fofana etc.)

A few days rest, fine. But we haven’t played a game for ten days and with the training situation there’s a danger of being underbaked. Whereas Leicester have got in the groove winning 4-0 albeit against a poor side which is perfect preparation….
