Japhet Tanganga

I honestly think he's got to do it to save his job. 4-3-3 is not working and if we play it against Villa, we'll be murdered. If we're murdered, Nunos head is further in the guillotine.

The question is who fills the other 7 positions. I'd personally go with:

Royal
Reggie
Skipp
PEH
GLC/Gil/Ndombele
Kane
Son

On the third midfielder, I'd prefer Ndombele on talent, Gil on attitude and potential but think GLC needs a chance in the middle so I'd start him.

--------------------------------Lloris
------Tanganga/Sanchez----------------Dier/Rodon
--------------------------------Romero
Royal-------Hojberg/Skipp-------Ndombele/Lo Celso------Regulion/Sessegnon
----------------------------Dele/Gill/Moura
-----------------------Kane----------------Son

The two wide players have to complete an incredible number of sprints however and are likely to have to be replaced after an hour or so.

I like the fact that the replacements for most of those positions are like for like. It’s hard to develop a consistent system if Davies is replacing Reggie at lb for example. There’s also potential for one of the other cbs to evolve to the Romero role, Tanganga seems comfortable in possession and lies to front foot defend for example.
I also wonder if Moura would be a more effective as wing back. More space to run into but not expected to score 10 a season, great engine and he’s one of our better players in the air.
In some ways I think Dele has more chance of rediscovering his mojo as a ten, even if coming off the bench rather than trying to turn him into a muscly Jenas. It’s the intangible of moments that bring goals that brought him to the top and the payoff for those touches and timing just isn’t there on the halfway line. He (and Gil) can also give us something more in in terms of a press from the front, which Ndombele and Kane never will.

I’m not a massive fan of 3 at the back generally, but it does feel our squad lends itself more to that system. Honestly can’t be worse than the performances we’ve seen for approx 3 years now.

Apparently this came from a wind up gooner account.
Being taken into police custody over some supposed what's app messages to his mates encouraging them to bet on Sunday's line up does not sound plausible at all.

Apparently been taken into police custody over a gambling issue ??????????????
You're old enough to know better than to propagate sh1t like this Mark. Think about what you post. Think how Japhet will feel in 2 years when someone says "Hmm, didn't Tanganga get prison time for gambling or summink?"
