Daniel Levy - Chairman

Not a chance nuno is getting all that. Its just lazy reporting by working out he had a two year deal on £7m a year.

For a start he has already received 4 months worth of the £14m in weekly wages, so he would be due a payout of around £11.5m but like with mourinho there is little doubt there would have been all sorts of clauses that resulted in substantially less compensation. Such as current league position i.e. not in a european qualification position, as was the case with mou.

Weren’t we 8th when nuno was sacked? I suspect he’ll end up getting around £4m in compensation.

Nice sum for little work! Football eh.

should be paid out of Levy's own pocket such was the folly. Clear to the whole world except him and Paratici.

I'm sure it was fairly clear to Levy and Paratici too, hence Nuno being well down their list of targets. And now that we've swiftly replaced him with one of their top targets in Conte, I can't complain too much.

Should we have started the season without a manager then? We wanted Poch or Conte. Neither were available/willing in the summer.

Nuno was basically a glorified caretaker, someone to steady the ship while we waited. Poch is still clinging on at PSG, but Conte was ready now. It would probably have cost more to buy out someone like Rodgers.

You're buying the cover story? Conte was ready in the summer but we weren't prepared to offer what he thought was acceptable. Now we are and here he is.

We more than make that money back from not paying Conte's wages for the last four months. We were always building for next season anyway.

I think you misunderstood. Wages for Conte were never the issue. The budget that was going to be made available to buy players was the issue. We've now seen that yes we do need to match or somewhat match his demands.

No somewhat about it, Conte is not a man to compromise and Patarici would have conveyed that to Levy before signing off the contract.

I think that's one of the other massive factors I'm buzzing about spurs right now, other being Conte himself.
