Can’t wait to watch Dave Chappelle’s new standup on Netflix. People have called for Netflix to remove it because of jokes he makes about the trans community. When did people become so selfish in the sense that if they don’t like something or if it offends them, it’s not enough to just switch it off, they have to call for it to be removed from the platform and spoil it for the rest of us? Would be like if I went to a restaurant and I didn’t like the meal, and the chef owed me an apology and had to change his menu. And then I said no one else was allowed to eat the food.

The people calling for it to be removed I would say have not watched it. There is some jokes about the Trans community but it’s also about a friendship he had with a Trans comic.

As to the special itself it’s not his best in my opinion but there’s a few good bits in there.

We live in weird times. Burn , ban , Censor if you don’t agree with my world view.

I don't agree with your views but I defend the death your right to have those views, unless they are different to my own narrow world view.

You only have to see the sort of people the universities churn out in this country.

I barely made it through the first episode, terrible stuff.
I enjoyed the first 3 episodes but once the novelty wore off the rest of it was basically just a soap opera, reminded of what happened to Lost but with worse acting.

As it seems to have become the water-cooler show of 2021 I felt the need to know how Squid Games ended but I only had had Netflix on in the background for the latter 5 episodes.

Anyone watched Alice in Borderland, adult drama set in Tokyo, similar vein to Squid Game....someone sets a range of games with the pack of cards being associating with the difficulty of the game, very good ,same gory stuff as Squid Game shootings etc.
Keeps going till the end.very good.

I'm just on to season 3 of Gomorrah. Hoping by the time I finish it I have enough of S3 of Succession to watch. Both these sit in my top 10 of all time so far.

Might be best not to go too far with Gomorrah.

It started as one of my favourites but tailed off towards the end.

I'll have to finish it

I have the wheel of time series starting soon and that will be a big deal as the books are some of my fave ever written. Amazon seem to have done a cracking job on creating it.

Can’t wait for this one Ozark is one of the best things on Netflix
It was enjoyable but then got more and more silly... seemed like 2 feuding families would be trying to murder one another for 5 episodes, then at the drop of a hat they would be best buddies, then anyone can kill anyone and nobody truly has the heft/importance for me to care what is going on... they would just get a really key character and kill them off to try and make it impactful, but it had the opposite effect. It just felt like anything could and would happen and the writers were just blagging their way along week to week, rather than coming around on some clever arc.

I do understand where your coming from. I felt a bit like that with the odd bit of it.Some of the story line is a bit hard to swallow. Like some of the deaths . But for me the majority of it has been watchable and enjoyable.
