Yeah, terrible decision - he got absolutely schooled.

Thing is though, 4th bout for someone with a future Vs journeyman at the other end of his career. Those ones only ever seem to go one way.
What do you reckon about tonight? I like boxing but my knowledge of it isn't the best. I've watched all of Joshua's fights but couldn't tell you a thing about Usyk.

I'm no expert, there are a few here who know a lot more than me.

But I don't think Usyk is big enough. He loses out on both reach and weight.

He's smart though, a fair bit smarter than Joshua IMO.

I think you have nailed it
Usyk is technically very good
But it’s very very rare breed who wins stepping up weight to an open weight like this

Wonder if Joshua will want the rematch?

You'd think so but he's already on about fighting Fury / Wilder without belts on the line so who knows.

Think it's all a bit of the opposite compared to the Ruiz fights, he went into the first Ruiz fight a bit too heavy handed and got clipped too many times and done, the boxed his way to getting the belts back in the rematch. He seemed way too gun shy against Usyk, AJ is never going to be the best boxer in the division, but he has the power to hurt anyone. The few times he did land on Usyk you could see it had an impact on him.

Interested in a rematch, think it will be much of the same with Usyk outboxing him to a UD.

Maybe we get Fury vs. Usyk which I think Fury wins very easily with his size advantage, that he actually uses against his opponents.

Then we get Wilder vs. AJ hopefully, not belts and potentially their last BIG pay days, just whoever lands the first clean punch wins...

Did anyone see that clip of the end of the fight going around on Twitter that shows the final bell might have been rung 5 secs early?
I dont know how accurate the clock they show on TV is but it makes you wonder

When I was watching the fight I was certain it stopped 8-10 seconds early, it was 10 seconds left on DAZNs coverage anyway I am certain.
