Pushing up the daisies - 2021 edition

Ultimate and Ocean were great, big shout should go to Hewson too for shooters like Zynaps and Exolon, US Gold always seemed to do disappointing coin-op conversions like Outrun though. Matt Smith’s Software Projects was the daddy.
Memory a bit vague regarding US Gold, maybe swayed by the better releases when I switched to the C64... almost like going from Spurs to Arsenal in computer terms. Leaderboard, Beach Head 1 and 2 (with speech!), Summer Games 1 and 2 via Epyx who also did Winter Games, World Games and Pitstop 2. And also Mission Impossible also with speech... "Another visitor. Stay a while... stay forever! Mwaahhaahha"!!

Was Gauntlet US Gold? That was great.

I worked for Codemasters one summer in the early 90s.
The two brothers who set it up went to my school in Southam.
I had to test new games they were developing, to try and break them e.g. at the start of Micro Machines, rather than racing forwards, go directly backwards in reverse and crash the game.
I had to play Micro Machines all day for weeks on end, tricky life!
They wanted me to test Brian Lara Cricket but I don't like cricket so I wasn't keen.
There was some awful crashy smashy demolition derby game on a figure of 8 track as well but that was awful, way off being released.
