Tanguy Ndombele

Still trying to get my mind around the fact that this bottler will likely determine if we have any positive outcomes this season.... GHod help us!

Listening to the thigh is the limit podcast tonight, the talk about Sissoko and his nursing and covering for our rbs, why can't we ask someone to do the same with tubby?
Surely the upside is worth it, at for now?

The blokes a headfudge!!
I was dipping in and out of the game but saw him make the Rennes righback look silly three times in the space of 5 yards and then a long swept ball out to I think Doherty, he jusr makes it look so so easy.
He's an idiot savant!

No games since April. Head and shoulders the most skilful person on the pitch.

And shockingly I saw him tracking back and tracking runners. I had to rub my eyes I couldn’t believe it. Then I saw defensive contributions inside our own box. At this point I had to have a lie down.

Although down by our goal line, repeatedly flicking the ball over the attackers head…tekkers for sure but not sure I’d be encouraging it!

I think some of the reactions of our fans here and in the OMT to his performance were a little over the top. Yes, he looked like something which we've been missing in Nuno's workmanlike midfields, but its not as if he ran the game. The fact that we've been so devoid of creativity in games before this though, did make him stand out

When available, our best balance midfield is PEH, Ndombele and GLC. That's what I'd like to see Nuno work towards with their understudies this season being (in the same order) Skipp, Dele and Winks. Whether it suits what Nuno wants though remains to be seen.

Then we'll need to make a decision next summer on whether GLC and Ndombele are really the answers or whether injuries, laziness or whatever other reasons lead us to needing an upgrade.

He does things others can't. We need to find a system to get the best out of him. It makes such a difference having a midfielder who uses his first touch to attack as opposed to control the ball then play it safe. Players that can break through the lines with skill or speed make a huge difference to any side.
